Tangle Tangle Tangle The book I co-authored with three other artists has been released, The Art of Zentangle. You will find 40+ pages of my work in the book (I am the "yellow" section.) It is hard for me to believe that my first publication is a Walter Foster book. Zentangle What is a Zentangle? In a word, a doodle. A structured, contained doodle. The term 'Zentangle' was coined by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas when, one day, Maria described her experience, as she created her art, as "feeling timeless, free and engendering a sense of deep well-being". Rick recognised that she was in a meditative state and so Zentangles were born. I use the technique of Zentangle in my own artwork, incorporating them into sketching, art-journalling and collage.

Substance Abuse: The Danger of Superficiality in e-Learning by Carmen Taran “In an era of excessive information, you have to wonder: how much of it is it real or matters? … How often do we create courses that look and sound good but are in fact cognitively opaque? How often do we design learning by staying near the surface? How often do we sacrifice depth and rigor for the sake of expediency? If you took down 80% of your e-Learning courses for one day, how many people in your organization would complain?”

Good Math, Bad Math After the whole Plait fiasco with the sum of the infinite series of natural numbers, I decided it would interesting to dig into the real math behind that mess. That means digging in to the Riemann function, and the concept of analytic continuation. A couple of caveats before I start: this is the area of math where I'm at my worst. Will it sound dumb? Will I run out of ideas before I even get started?

BW Fun-do Science Lab for Schools We know that every child is unique and that there is nothing called a ‘dull student’ or a ‘below average’ student. It is just that the levels of interest vary. This ‘interest’ depends on the child’s family, teachers, friends and the environment they live in. 8-13 is the age when most kids decide that they ‘love’ or ‘hate’ science. If a difference has to be made, it is then. With this in mind, Brainwave has conceptualised the BW Fun-do Science Lab for schools. Tangle Brasil Long time away from here! Some personal problems to be solved..I hope I can return to my tangling soon, as well as update the Mosaic with a lot of new tangles that were released these past weeks.
