Groupe des 20 théâtres - Ile de France L’artistique est au cœur du projet du Groupe des 20 Théâtres en Ile-de-France qui réunit des directrices et de directeurs de structures franciliennes de proxiimté aussi diverses que complémentaires. La région parisienne est l'espace commun de leur implantation et de leur implication, dans des villes ayant une mission de service public qui se traduit par une politique culturelle en matière de spectacle vivant. Leurs programmations sont ouvertes à la pluridisciplinarité. Le soutien à la création et aux écritures contemporaines est pour chacun d’entre eux une préoccupation majeure et s’exprime par une volonté affirmée de coproduction et de préachat. L’action culturelle est un enjeu quotidien. Les membres du Groupe des 20 théâtres s’associent autour d’un désir commun de mener à plusieurs ce qu’il est impossible de réaliser seul.

So when I experienced a period of insomnia a few years back, sleep’s sudden absence becamea kind of overarching obsession. And in my ensuing efforts to understand sleep’s retreat and hasten it’s restoration I also found a direction of interest and imagery for my work. While my art practice has always been primarily rooted in a representational approach to drawing - what I’m striving to represent is the interior world - some fleeting glimpse of less visible aspects of the self - a hunt for a hint of the unconscious. So I draw - and in that process seek to be surprised by what might show up among the marks.
