60 insane cloud formations from around the world [PICs] Cloud varieties go way beyond the cumulus, stratus, and cirrus we learn about in elementary school. Check out these wild natural phenomena. STANDING IN A CORNFIELD IN INDIANA, I once saw a fat roll cloud (like #4 below) float directly over my head. It’s a 12-year-old memory that remains fresh. I imagine a lot of these photographers having similar hesitations as they set up for the shots below.

Vietnam and Hong-kong installation Below, some pictures of two installations made in Hong-Kong and at Hué, Vietnam. An huge THANKS to Mimi and her friend for their help and translations with the Vietnamese people. A big thanks to UFUNK for his help and whose is everytime here when i need him for pictures, movies and more. Thanks to the Vietnamese and Hong-Kong people for their sweat words and smiles and thumb up! Below of the pictures the text which explain why this project in origami with rainbow colors. My message for this both installations was a little bit politic (even if i don’t really like it) , for the people.. I just want to speak about the liberty spirit in the Hong-Kong streets and encourage the people to stay independant as they want. For Vietnam, I wanted to use the star of their national flag. When we know the hard history of the country and all their years of war, that’s a tribute for their bravery… Spectrum in the city, abstract rainbows of paper… “This is our cry, this is our pry, For build peace in the world”

Bookshelf Porn Simon Birch’s Hypnotic Paintings Capture Motion Mostly recognized for his kinetic oil-on-canvas pieces, Simon Birch’s vastly multi-mediated art tends towards the fantastical, constantly referencing the alternate realms of the digital, ephemeral, or just plain virtual. Painting, installation, sculpture, circus, photography, live tigers, film — all have come together in massive shows that accurately represent the near-manic vim and vigor in Birch’s practice. Born and trained in the UK, Birch has exhibited work in Beijing, Singapore, Miami and Hong Kong, where he currently resides. His 2010 performance piece, Hope and Glory, divided a 20,000 sq ft space into 14 installations that echoed James Campbell’s hero myth structure, through an array of painting, sculpture, film, performance and photography.

AFP Hall of Fame « AwkwardFamilyPhotos.com No babies were hurt in the making of this photo. Here is Dad’s story: We had just finished up a family reunion in California and decided to do some family pictures on the final day. So we attempt to take pictures of just our family and things are going south quickly. First couple of shots go fine. I watch my son gracefully do a full backwards layout and land flat on his back in the sand. (submitted by Chris) ShareThis

Dylan Altamiranda

The imperfect lines, smudges and wrinkles give it dimension and raw honesty that more than ever are sought by digital artists and implemented in software. Blog 500px Shop offers you the best photography supplements, carefully curated by our team. We’ll introduce high quality and useful products to make your lives easier and your photography experiences even more amazing. Today we bring you the Photographer’s Pouch, designed and produced by Will Kortum. Hi Will! Hi! How did you come up with this idea? I first came up with the Photographer’s Pouch through frustration with my camera bag. Why did you choose to use felt as the material? I chose smooth felt because I wanted something that would be soft enough to protect lenses, filters, and cameras from scratches but that would be less prone to sticking to Velcro. So you're a photographer yourself. I primarily shoot street photography, but I’ve been experimenting with urban landscapes recently. What do you shoot with? For the past 7 months or so, I was shooting almost exclusively Neopan 400 in my Leica M6 and two Ricoh GR1’s, but I’ve recently been focusing more on color work. Awesome advice.

Salute yo’Suit Women wearing female clothes is not a very novel concept. Women wearing mens clothes is probably even less novel. Women wearing womens clothes designed to emulate those of the male variety–here sparks a bit of interest. I used to have a theory about women being drawn to mens clothing for the sake of quantifying an absolute sense of equality among our gender counterpants–this is a typo I will not fix, the pun is serendipitous. I put said theory to sleep after reading an article in the New York Times titled, “What’s So Wrong About a Boy Who Wants to Wear a Dress?” I wondered why it registered so universally alarming for a boy to want to wear a dress and yet not much at all for a girl to want to wear pants. I should be fair though. Yes, outfits cut from the same cloth percolated through all four major fashion cities. Vogue UK’s September Issue cover girl, Karlie Kloss lent a very complimentary suit-salute to Jonathan Saunders in book. Now, I should be fair one more time.
