Lifestyle Design Experiments This is the place where you find all the lifestyle design experiments I'm sharing online. A lifestyle design experiment is where we take a simple idea or radical lifestyle concept and give it a test run in our lives. We're only obligated to it for 30 days, enough time to form it into a habit. After the 30 days are up, we can choose to let go of the idea if it's not serving us, or keep it. Ideally, we want to try things out which we believe will have a massive positive impact on our lives and bring ourselves to a whole new level of existence. It takes a lot of motivation and dedication to make massive positive changes in our lives. You don't have to start a blog to do this, but its really easy if you want to. Or you can get a few trusted accountability partners and tell them what you want to accomplish, then regularly update them on how your lifestyle design experiment is coming along. Below you'll see my ongoing experiment with a raw food diet. -Ender Polyphasic Sleep Raw Food Diet

All About the Lemon Juice and Maple Syrup Detox The third time i caved in on the lemon juice and maple syrup detox diet I knew i needed help. I did not want to fail partly because i had $100 riding on it, partly because of my ego but i think it was really because I wanted it to work deep down. MY cynical nature could not cover up the fact i was fat, i was bloated and i was sick of being sick! I went online and did my research. I also found a guide that was my savior in this endeavor called Master Cleanse Secrets. I won the bet and changed my outlook on life, in fact i gave the money back as i felt the benefits of the cleanse were payment enough! If you are also looking to do a detox of your body and perhaps also lose weight in the process i highly recommend you check this e-book out below.

Sleep Patterns - Polyphasic, Biphasic & Monophasic A good sleep pattern is the cornerstone to getting great sleep. A messed up sleep pattern is one of the main causes of insomnia. The key to getting it right is to choose a sleep pattern and stick to it like glue. Don’t think you’re limited to just one sleep and wake time. With an understanding of the stages of sleep and the sleep cycle, you can sleep multiple times during the day and effectively feel great on as little as 3 hours of sleep per day. In this article we’ll take a look at the theory behind sleep patterns to see exactly how they work and what creates a great sleep pattern. How Sleep Patterns Work Your sleep pattern is like a timepiece which your body uses to understand when it’s time to sleep and when it’s time to wake. How long you have been awakeThe regular timing of your sleep The timing of your sleep is controlled by something called the circadian body clock located in the depths of your brain. You quickly develop a sleep wake cycle from birth. Types of Sleep Patterns

Everyman Sleep Schedule Most recent update, 2010: Everyman, along with other types of polyphasic sleep, has accumulated quite a body of information since this article was written. I myself have been on the Everyman 3 schedule for over four years now. Updated details, instructions, and even a book discussing polyphasic sleep adaptation can all be found at Everyman is another type of polyphasic sleep schedule that grew out of the experiments I first wrote about in 2000 under Uberman's Sleep Schedule. How the Everyman Schedule was born The "Uberman" schedule, which was the first polyphasic schedule I experimented with, is very cool, but also really hard to adjust to. Right about the time I was experimenting to determine the validity of the above sentence, people began howling at me about how unfair it was that only hermits and supervillians could ever have both the character and the kind of life-schedule that accomodated the Uberman schedule. Apollo 14 astronaut claims aliens HAVE made contact - but it has been covered up for 60 years UPDATED: 00:44 GMT, 24 July 2008 Edgar Mitchell was the Lunar Module Pilot for Apollo 14 Aliens have contacted humans several times but governments have hidden the truth for 60 years, the sixth man to walk on the moon has claimed. Apollo 14 astronaut Dr Edgar Mitchell, said he was aware of many UFO visits to Earth during his career with NASA but each one was covered up. Dr Mitchell, 77, said during a radio interview that sources at the space agency who had had contact with aliens described the beings as 'little people who look strange to us.' He said supposedly real-life ET's were similar to the traditional image of a small frame, large eyes and head. Chillingly, he claimed our technology is 'not nearly as sophisticated' as theirs and "had they been hostile", he warned 'we would be been gone by now'. Dr Mitchell, along with with Apollo 14 commander Alan Shepard, holds the record for the longest ever moon walk, at nine hours and 17 minutes following their 1971 mission.

Alternative Sleep Cycles: You Don’t Really Need 6-8 Hours! Most people only think that there is one way to sleep: Go to sleep at night for 6-8 hours, wake up in the morning, stay awake for 16-18 hours and then repeat. Actually, that is called a monophasic sleep cycle, which is only 1 of 5 major sleep cycles that have been used successfully throughout history. The other 4 are considered polyphasic sleep cycles due to the multiple number of naps they require each day. Well the most important of every sleep cycle is the Stage 4 REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep, which has been shown to provide the benefits of sleep to the brain above all other stages of sleep. This way, you still get the benefits of 8 hours of sleep without wasting all of the time it takes to get to REM cycles, resulting in a much more efficient sleep cycle. Uberman Cycle: 20 to 30 minute naps every 4 hours, resulting in 6 naps each day. Everyman Cycle: One longer “core” nap that is supplemented with several 20-30 minute naps. Dymaxion Cycle: Biphasic/Siesta Cycle: – Hang in there.

Paris Underground The Bunker It's pretty clear how you get in there, but it's also pretty comical: headfirst with your partner pushing your legs through. Again there's a different tunnel architecture. We're supposedly underneath a high school. It's more brick-like. One has a lot of wall mounted electrical conduit boxes - makes me think this was a communications bunker. Stephane is pointing to a fissure in the wall. It's a sideways crawl up and then down. New Tunnels? Stephane smiles at me. We are true explorers now. Every now and then there are little offshoots that go for 20 or 30 feet before coming to a dead end. As our mapmakers continue I look to Emmanuel for guidance. Stephane is so proud of his newfound mapping ground. Even these guys have their limits. The Real Catacombs There aren't a lot of rest stops so when this one presents itself we sit down. I bid adieu to my fellow cataphiles Stephane and Jean Baptiste. We zig zag for a while then follow some ancient stone stairs down to another level.

Lizards Rapidly Evolve After Introduction to Island "The island was swarming with lizards," he said. The findings were published in March in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. Fast-Track Evolution The new habitat once had its own healthy population of lizards, which were less aggressive than the new implants, Irschick said. The new species wiped out the indigenous lizard populations, although how it happened is unknown, he said. The transplanted lizards adapted to their new environment in ways that expedited their evolution physically, Irschick explained. Pod Mrcaru, for example, had an abundance of plants for the primarily insect-eating lizards to munch on. Researchers found that the lizards developed cecal valves—muscles between the large and small intestine—that slowed down food digestion in fermenting chambers, which allowed their bodies to process the vegetation's cellulose into volatile fatty acids. Craft Ideas Click Here For More Amazing Ideas Four Homemade Cleaners This was easier than I thought it would be. One of Betsy’s goals for the year was to ditch some of our standard cleaners that we use around the house and make them! Honestly, I was a bit skeptical about this project mainly because I wasn’t sure that homemade cleaners would really get the job done. And my lovely wife is a bit of a neat freak so there’s no way she would use something that didn’t perform well. So a couple of weekends ago she went out and bought a few staple ingredients and some empty spray bottles and we spent a few minutes mixing up four different homemade cleaners that have since replaced 90% of the cleaners we use around the house. For the last few weeks we’ve been using them now and I’ve been so impressed by how well they are working, I thought I’d share them all with you in case any of you are interested in ditching the chemicals.
