Friendship Bracelets Macraméd friendship bracelets were all the rage when I was growing up in the eighties. All the girls at my school would obsessively make them for one another in a dizzying variety of colors, widths, and patterns. It's amazing, thinking back, that such young girls could make such beautifully intricate accessories. I, of course, tried my hand at making them as well. I would ride my bike down to the five-and-dime store and pick out the most sophisticated color combinations of embroidery floss I could find, but when it came to the actual macramé I never got beyond plain stripes. Chan Luu Single Wrap Macrame Bracelet Chan Luu bracelets are just so cool! What's great about them is that they use simple macrame techniques to produce different results, this time with the addition of beads! This tutorial adds on to my previous Square Knot Friendship Bracelets, but utilizes the beads in a different way; on the outside of the knots as opposed to the inside. What you get is a totally different result! Step 1: Gather materials. Needed are 3mm glass gemstone beads, cotton thread for knotting, scissors, tape, and a bead and crimp for closure.

Perfect Summer Bangle - StumbleUpon Here's a fun tutorial on how to make a message bangle that's one-of-a-kind, done in the sun, waterproof and weatherproof. Even after several trips to the beach, it won't fade or wash off! Essentially, it's the Perfect Summer Bangle. Used in this tutorial: Inkodye Red DIY Chan Luu Bracelet « My goal this holiday season was to really try my best to make some homemade gifts. So far I’m doing pretty well with my wreath, some burlap covered candles, some personalized coasters and this past weekend I gave a try at some jewelry. You may have noticed how wrap bracelets are everywhere lately. Chan Luu bracelets are extremely popular these days. DIY Fishtail Hat Band We were instantly inspired by this gorgeous rainbow fishtail braid in Free People‘s September catalog and decided to recreate it, adding our own little twist: making the braid into a wearable hat accessory. Who said braids were limited to summer and hair? Cut about 40 strands of yarn about 3 feet long, knot at one end leaving a several inches of slack, and divide into two sections. Pull 4 strands of yard from the outside of the left section and add it to the right side. Do the same to the other side–pull 4 strands of yarn from the outside of the right section and add it to the left side.

DIY Ribbon + Chain Bracelets from #MAGICLV Here’s the second DIY I led with with BurdaStyle direct from the MAGIC floor. We did these bracelets on Wednesday, the final day of the show. It was a perfect project to wrap-up with because it was fast and easy. I think we were all feeling a little bit like the walking dead after spending the 4 days running around Las Vegas 20 hours a day. Photo courtesy BurdaStyle The supplies are simple: chain + ribbon.

Braided Headband Tutorial - StumbleUpon It's chilly outside here today and I'm loving it! I enjoyed every minute of reaching into the closet and pulling out soft cozy blankets, snuggling up on the couch with my blanket and laptop to check my e-mail this morning... Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of temps below 40 degrees, but a high of 65, I'll take it! Anyway.... on with the tutorial. Day 3: Sparkle Headbands - a diy headband tutorial Theses headbands I want to keep for myself. Really, I can’t decide which I like better the beads or the rhinestones. I know Allie won’t want to take them off.
