Sequelitis - Mega Man Classic vs. Mega Man X

In this semi-drunk movie about Supermans death, Elijah Wood is Cyborg Superman I don't think that the The Death of Superman started the "death is meaningless" in comics. Like people said, Jean Grey had happened years before, and the trend of reviving long-dead Silver and Golden Age characters such as Barry Allen (died in 1985, resurrected in 2008), Hal Jordan (died in 1996, resurrected in 2006), Bucky (died in 1968, ressurected in 2005) and Jason Todd (Died in 1988, resurrected in 2005) is a 21st-century trend. What Death of Superman started, however, is the replacement of iconic heroes with more hip or edgy version: Thor got replaced by Thunderstrike, Captain America with U.S.

David Sedaris Reads From His 'Santaland Diaries' Copyright © 2011 NPR. For personal, noncommercial use only. See Terms of Use. For other uses, prior permission required. Santa's helper, many MORNING EDITION listeners are awfully glad it was one of the jobs held by David Sedaris before he became the bestselling writer and humorous that he is today. David once worked as an elf at Macy's. DAVID SEDARIS: I wear green velvet knickers, a forest green velvet smock and a perky little hat decorated with spangles. SEDARIS: I've spent the last several days sitting in a crowded, windowless Macy's classroom, undergoing the first phases of elf training. We were given a demonstration of various positions in action, acted out by returning elves, who were so onstage and goofy that it made me a little sick to my stomach. Everything these elves say seems to have an exclamation point on the end of it. SEDARIS: Twenty-two thousand people came to see Santa today, and not all of them were well behaved. The woman grabbed my arm and said: You there, elf.

Gaffer on Games | Never Trust the Client A lot of people are complaining online about cheating in The Division lately, especially on PC. So much so that it’s starting to hit mainstream media. But how bad are these hacks, and more importantly, can they be fixed? I don’t own a copy of The Division so I watched a few videos and dug around to see what’s going on. As a game networking expert (I’ve shipped a few titles) I can usually look at exploit videos and see what’s going on fairly quickly. The first videos I saw were the usual overly smug glitchers out there, super proud to have discovered things the QA department should have probably picked up when testing the game: Not a great thing to see in a shipped game, but also not the end of the world. But then, I saw this video: And this is super bad news Because here we have a client-side cheat program that is poking memory locations and giving players infinite health, infinite ammo, and teleporting players around the level. I hope they’re not using a trusted client networking model.

Porn for Pregnant Ladies - BLOG - Pregnant Chicken Every so often I notice that someone has found this site by searching "Pregnant Woman Porn" and I have no doubt that I am not what they are looking for. But it got me to thinking, pregnant ladies *should* have their very own candy to look at. We have needs! So after seeing a bunch of these for crafting and new moms online, I thought about some of the wonderful words many pregnant women might like to hear. Here are a few I came up with, but feel free to let me know what else these fine (oh so fine) gentlemen could say to make you weak in the knees. Thanks you, gentlemen. Hearthstone and community: Inside Blizzard's radical new approach to working with players Before Blizzard introduces huge changes to Hearthstone, community members were brought in to discuss the plans It's a Tuesday morning in September 2015, and the sun is beating down on Blizzard's Orange County, California, campus, as it usually does. Inside one of the heavily air-conditioned buildings, there's a conference room filled with a dozen of the most popular Hearthstone streamers — and thus some of the most popular streamers on Twitch in general. Fans of Hearthstone's streaming and competitive scene could look around and recognize names like Strifecro, Reynad, Eloise and Gnimsh. They would certainly take note of Jeffrey "Trump" Shih, a 28-year-old who gained an audience as a pro StarCraft 2 player before discovering Hearthstone. Many would notice Brian Kibler, a well-known competitor in the Magic: The Gathering scene who has embraced Hearthstone as his digital card game of choice. "I really encourage you to make the most of your time here," Morhaime says. The pitch Goals aligned

25 Great Calvin and Hobbes Strips. Why Bill Watterson is our hero. We've re-launched Progressive Boink, friends! Our new front page is here. Hope you enjoy. Hundreds of comic strips have been published in newspapers. And it's really a shame that it's so difficult to quantify this strip's greatness. Calvin and Hobbes ran from 1985 to 1995. "Virtue needs some cheaper thrills." © Universal Press Syndicate Calvin is an unbelievably intelligent six-year-old. It's kind of refreshing to see a strip that doesn't feel the need to have an uplifting message, or feel like it needs to point out that it's mean to whack an innocent person upside the dome with a snowball. - Jon "He's one of the old gods! One of the top classic Calvin strips. - Bill "You've taught me nothing except how to cynically manipulate the system." Pretty much the voice of Bill Watterson dictating the current state of our school systems. - Nick "We prefer your extinction to the loss of our job." Hobbes' bizarre reply is the icing on the cake. - Jon "It's psychosomatic.

Neural Networks Walk Better Than Humans for Game Animation Modern day video games have come a long way from Mario the plumber hopping across the screen. Incredibly intricate environments of games today are part of the lure for new gamers and this experience is brought to life by the characters interacting with the scene. However the illusion of the virtual world is disrupted by unnatural movements of the figures in performing actions such as turning around suddenly or climbing a hill. To remedy the abrupt movements, [Daniel Holden et. al] recently published a paper (PDF) and a video showing a method to greatly improve the real-time character control mechanism. The proposed system uses a neural network that has been trained using a large data set of walking, jumping and other sequences on various terrains. The key is breaking down the process of bipedal movement and its cyclic behaviour into a series of sub-steps or phases.
