Cheesecake Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars Yes, that's a cheesecake layer in the chocolate chip cookie bars. Does it look delicious? It is. Believe me. Like the stuffed bell peppers, this is a recipe that my mom and I made together when she was visiting. Unlike the stuffed bell peppers, this isn't healthy at all. I think they balance each other out, though. Except that I eat them in equal proportions. You should, too. Life can be cruel….. So it is cruel irony that I made this cake and don’t get to eat it(dreaded diet). Fortunately this is something my husband will gladly eat. But enough about my sorrows. One of my favorite chefs of all time is Marcel Desaulniers. He is most known for his one cookbook, Death By Chocolate. But I fell in love with his cooking watching his PBS cooking show, which many people never saw. And as much as I love him he does have a downfall…he makes really complicated desserts. Chicken Enchilada Soup It’s cold and gloomy here which is perfect soup weather. Especially when that soup has a little heat of its own from some spicy jalapeno peppers. I'm not really ready for winter weather yet -- I held out as long as I could before having to turn the heat on but with temperatures getting down in the 30s and 40s, this week was the end. The beautiful fall weather is over; it’s cold and dark before 6:00 at night, which means it’s almost winter. Have I mentioned that I really don't like winter? I look forward to the holidays, my birthday, etc but after that, I pretty much look forward to spring. I'm calling this chicken enchilada soup because the flavors remind me of the enchilada soup at Chili's. You could also make this soup in a crockpot, you'll just have to extend the cooking times - expect that it will take at least 3-4 hours on high and you'll probably want to use a 5 quart crockpot. Chicken Enchilada Soup In a large Dutch oven or stockpot, add chicken stock and heat over medium heat.

Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberries These aren't anything complicated. With five ingredients, they take only a few minutes to put together. In fact, these were probably the least time-intensive food at my Cheesecake Extravaganza. Yet, I had more than a few people come up and proclaim their love for the finger food. You don't have to throw a cheesecake party to serve these....I imagine they'd be welcomed just about anytime! Another great party food, these can be made ahead of time. Next time, I'll make more... this was the first food to go at the Cheesecake Extravaganza, and with good reason! Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberriesfrom Nutmeg NannyIngredients: -1 lb large strawberries -8 oz. cream cheese, softened (can use 1/3 less fat) -3-4 tbsp powdered sugar (4 tbsp for a sweeter filling) -1 tsp vanilla extract -graham cracker crumbs Directions: 1.

Yesterday: Rain, Paint, Butter, & Bruises | Fly Through Our Window - Fly Through Our Window Hello friends! I want to first tell y’all that you make me laugh, you encourage me, and really I’d like to spend some time with each of you because I think you’re all super cool. Sometimes I assume you’ve been around since the very beginning of this blog. But back then no one was around besides me, Mom, DaddyBoy & MommaSis. Yesterday it rained. For the majority of my childhood I lived in areas of our country that get snow days when it snows. We also like to create enormous messes while making masterpieces. Thank you, Mom for the circa 1991 box of printer paper… we’ve just barely put a dent in it! We also did a little baking and decorating and I’m still trying to decide if I should tell you how many cookies I ate… or not. Then I made Cinnamon Honey Butter! And I’m going to make a very bold statement about it… if you use any recipe from this blog let it be this ONE! Besides the fact that it tastes REALLY GOOD it’s also REALLY EASY. You’ll need: 2 sticks of butter at room temp 1 cup of honey

Cinnamon Rolls With Whipped Cream Cheese Frosting Happy Friday everyone! Sorry for my lengthy post-valentines day hiatus. The third trimester has made me a little slow in the kitchen and I've had my hands full with family. Mr. Of course, once I actually got my wish for a pan of delicious freshly made cinnamon rolls, I spent more time eating them than photographing them. Photographing food while pregnant is hard! So let's get down to the how-to. You will find that this recipe is far simpler than the sourdough cinnamon rolls found on NSHP. Alright, I'm going to let my resident dough-maker and crazy pregnant woman care-taker commandeer the laptop and give you the run down for this dough. Over to you Mr. Mr. As you might have noticed, everything is by weight. I have active dry yeast on hand, but you can use other types as well. When I make this dough, I weigh out the milk, butter, and eggs and set them aside to warm up to room temperature. Weigh out your dry ingredients, and whisk them thoroughly to combine. (Ms. This is where Mr. Ms. Enjoy.
