Simple 3 Twists Hairstyle First, a little back story: I was on Pinterest (I know, big surprise) awhile back and Ms. Ez from Creature Comforts pinned a fun messy hair-do, and mentioned she needed to learn how to do it. So I piped in that I should show her how. I have been wanting to do a hair tutorial for ages now, so this was the perfect reason to get it done. PIN IT UP, GIRL Our email box is literally flooded with requests for updos so here’s a fun one to get us all going! This is always a favorite for attending an event. This updo looks gorgeous on any hair color but particularly amazing with hilighted hair because it gives the hair lots of depth and dimension. For lack of a better word, I love the way it becomes “swirly”. Best thing is; it’s easy to do, gorgeous and keeps your hair out of your way for the night. I made this a printable tutorial, so all of the steps are next to the photos.

12 Ponytail Ideas for Summertime By Chelsea Fuss | Warm days are ahead (or so I am told). I, too, often find myself with a boring ponytail all summer. I like the idea of changing it up a bit, whether it’s adding a braid or simply wrapping a piece of hair over the rubber band. page 9 Recently I realized that we’ve never really had a specific chat about hair serums. There are so many different formulas from silicone-based, to alcohol free, to natural, to curl enhancing, etc… All of them promise to deliver mega shine on the driest, dullest hair. But there’s more to it than that. I thought it would be fun to break down 8 of my favorites (each being my jam for a different reason), tell you what I’ve experienced with each and tell you who I would recommend them for. I tend to apply some sort of serum on almost every head of hair that I curl which I think is a major contributor to why my curls get so perfectly piece-y. How To Style Maiden Braids Last month I did a makeover story with Kelsie and had many requests for a maiden braid tutorial. Yesterday she came in and we photographed these simple step by steps. Kelsie has extremely long and thick hair, but anyone with shoulder length or longer can do these braids (see my photo below for an example). Steps 1-2: Braid two strands on each side of a center part.

Head Scarf Tutorial After many requests, I finally made a tutorial on how to tie a simple head scarf. It's really, really easy. I did this without looking in the mirror, so that should tell you how easy it is. Let's get started! Clam Amigurumi Materials: *3 skeins of 4ply yarn, one for outer shell, one for inner shell and one for the body color. Crochet Hook: 3.5mm Extras: *Stitch marker *Poly-fill *Yarn needle *9mm safety eyes Abbreviations used in this pattern: ch chain sc single crochet st stich sts stitchs dec decrease a stitch (*insert hook into next st, yarn over, draw up a loop* twice, yarn over and draw through all 3 loops on hook.) *repeat directions inside * as many times as indicated

How to Put Your Hair Up In A Cute Bun Comb your hair carefully to eliminate any tangles or knots.Take some hair from the top of your head. 3. Tie off this hair with a hair elastic. 4. Don't pull off the ends. 5. Sea of Shoes: HAIR HOW-TO I am sometimes asked how I style my hair, and while my method is far from perfect, I thought I'd show you how! My hair is pretty straight and fine naturally and I always let it air dry. Since I go about three days between washes, I like to curl it on the first day and let it mellow out into some nice waves over the next two. Let's get started! If your hair doesn't hold curl very well then you may want to put a palmful of curling mousse in it when it is halfway dry.

How to Grow Your Hair - hiphopsideproject When I was little, maybe 5 years old, my mum took me to the hair dressers and told them to give me what can only be described as a boy haircut. I’ve been scarred ever since. So I’ve been trying to grow my hair long for years now, I usually wuss out and end up getting a big chunk chopped off (never to the extent of the boy haircut that was surreptitiously thrust upon me!). This time I’m determined to have shiny mermaid length hair!! Over the past 6 or so months I think I’ve added about 5-6inches of hair, and that’s with a few trims in between. For me that’s a good growth rate, I reckon it was about 3inches every 6 months before!

Bubble Printing Fun!!! This weekend we were doing bubble activities galore: playing and printing with bubbles. Cassie enjoyed both. What inspired us to do this was when we were at friend's house and they had Crayola Colored Bubbles.
