Soap Queen TV: Holiday Candle Travel Tins Grab some hot cocoa, get comfortable and prepare yourself for some candle making fun! In the final episode of my Holiday Series I show you how to make cute little travel candles perfect for the gift giving season. When filming this episode I tried to include as much helpful information as possible, which resulted in a nearly 13 minute long video (hence the get comfy recommendation). I demonstrate how to use our liquid candle dyes and wax dye blocks as well as show many common candle problems and how to fix them. Although I mention it in the video, I really want to emphasize how important it is to use heat safe containers both for your mixing container and for the final candle container. I love keeping a few of these travel candles on hand for last minute hostess gifts or ‘just because’ gifts to give through out the Holidays.

How Joyful Hola there! Here you can find an organized list of all my tutorials, projects and printables. I want to point out that I am no sewing expert and have no formal education in either sewing or English (Spanish is my native language) So I might not always use the correct terminology or best technique, I am always learning too! It might not always be perfect, but it’s sure a lot of fun! Rainbow Roses: All Colors in One Rose The rainbow rose is a rose which has had its petals artificially coloured. The colouring method exploits the rose’s natural processes by which water is drawn up the stem. By splitting the stem and dipping each part in a differently coloured water, the colours are drawn into the petals resulting in a multicoloured rose. Besides roses, other cut flowers can also be coloured using the same method.
Make Canning Jars Look Vintage Blue I bought these probably five years ago at an antique/consignment store. I think I paid about 12 dollars for a set of four. Now you can expect to pay at least that for just one. Last night I was cruising around the internet and happened upon a link to a tutorial using mod podge and food coloring to make your own. Cool! In the original tutorial, she experimented with a few different methods and colors to get the look she was after. Tutorial: Father's Day Grillin' Towel Am I the only one who thinks that men are difficult to craft for? My husband likes a very simple style and a very limited color palette so this was quite the challenge for me! Not too bright, not too bold, not girly, not too embellished. Tailored and masculine. This is an improved-upon idea from some grill towels I made for my husband last year....Last summer, my husband was deployed and missed our anniversary, Father's Day, and his birthday. So I just lumped all those occasions into one gift and surprised him with a new grill when he returned!!
