B1 is one of the CEFR levels described by the Council of Europe. The ability to express oneself in a limited way in familiar situations and to deal in a general way with nonroutine information. Examples: Can ask to open an account at a bank, provided that the procedure is straightforward. Can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. Can deal with most situations likely to arise while traveling in an area where the language is spoken. B1 level exams At this level you can do the PET and PTE General level 2 practice exams You can also get an a B1 certificate if you do well enough in the PTE Academic, a multi-level exam, while B1 level candidates should get a band score of 4-4.5 on the IELTS test. Advanced grading methods Advanced grading methods enable various assessment forms to be used for calculating grades. Advanced grading method types Basic concepts By default, numerical grades in Moodle are selected by the teacher from a range like 0-100. When advanced grading methods are enabled, the grade selection element is replaced with a more complex assessment form provided by the plugin. The plugin contains the logic how to calculate the grade. It was put together by the Council of Europe as the main part of the project "Language Learning for European Citizenship" between 1989 and 1996. Its main aim is to provide a method of learning, teaching and assessing which applies to all languages in Europe. In November 2001 a European Union Council Resolution recommended using the CEFR to set up systems of validation of language ability.
