Retrospective and Evolution of Apple Ads

Retrospective and Evolution of Apple Ads
Apple Computer Inc. was established on April 1st, 1976 and incorporated on January 3rd, 1977. Apple first started advertising its products in the late 1970s. Here’s a amazing compilation of some of Apple’s most notable advertisements from the 70s until the 2002. It’s amazing how much the Apple product line and technology in general has evolved in such a relatively short period of time. In the 80s ads were text-heavy and light on images, as were many computer and technology ads from that era. It’s also interesting to see how the ads changed as the hardware changed. Here are some cool iphone accessories and latest iphone apps for job hunting. Please leave your comment about this post on the comment section below.

Dr. Robert Epstein: Why Google Should Be Regulated (Part 1) Regulatory agencies have been nipping at Google's heels, but they need to go straight for the throat. Google reminds me of Adam, the cute, 100-foot-tall toddler in the 1992 Rick Moranis film, Honey I Blew Up the Kid. In case you missed it, Adam keeps stumbling over buildings, mistakes real cars for toys, and ultimately threatens the existence of Las Vegas. Adam -- the errant father of the human race. Google -- the company named after an astronomically large number (1 with a hundred zeros after it) that controls access to most of the information on earth and that finds innovative ways to get in trouble several times a year. Here are recent examples of Google's stumbles: ● In February 2010, Google stunned privacy advocates by rolling out Buzz, a social networking service that automatically enrolled Google's 175 million Gmail users, instantly creating a "circle of friends" for each user based on who they emailed most often. The message is not entirely false, and that's the problem.

The Social Radio Lands on the iPhone Latin America was very well represented among the finalists of the Mobile Premier Awards this year, with no less than four contenders, coming from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico. While none of them made it to the winners’ list, it would be a mistake not to take a closer look at what we found out to be very interesting apps. As a matter of fact, the high level of today’s competition is the only possible explanation for The Social Radio not getting an award. The winner of Argentina’s edition of App Circus, this startup first caught our attention when it launched an Android app last December. On the heels of its participation to MWC, the startup has now launched an iOS app. Although it is currently free, it has nothing to envy to The Social Radio’s Android and web versions. All of them perform the same task, which is to let their users tune in to their social networks on their mobile devices as if they were radio stations. ➤ The Social Radio, via the App Store

Destroying the myths of child beauty pageants - The Drum Opinion Find More Stories Destroying the myths of child beauty pageants Collett Smart How far will we go before we call out 'stop!' Daisey Mae, an eight-year-old girl featured on Toddlers & Tiaras, has just this week been observed in a teaser clip telling cameras that, "Facial beauty is the most important thing, in life and in pageants." She is also seen saying: 'If you think your kid is ugly or something, you might not want to do pageants because you're not going to win or anything." I actually feel sorry for Daisy, as she would not have come up with these ideas all on her own. March saw the publication of a French report calling for an end to the sexualisation of children by Chantal Jouanno, a senator and former sports minister. Of child beauty pageants, Jouanno states that young girls were being "disguised as sexual candy in a competition over appearance, beauty and seduction", which she said was "contrary to the dignity of the human being" and "a step backwards in the battle for sex equality". x

Myth-busting the Christmas adverts Welcome to the world of Christmas adverts, where it's always snowing, the turkey's never overcooked, and the trees never shed their needles. Every year, some of Britain's biggest retailers turn TV commercial breaks into a winter wonderland. We all know it's a long way from reality, but it still looks like a nice place to visit - so just how far away is it? It always snows Picture the scene. This is the wondrous scene depicted in many a Christmas advert - and this year is no different. But how realistic is a white Christmas day? Not very. BBC weather producer Sara Thornton says it is too early to say if we will see snow this Christmas: "In some parts of the UK, you are statistically more likely to see a white Good Friday than a white Christmas day. "As romantic as these Christmas adverts are, some children will never have seen snow falling on Christmas day." Mums do everything Sexist? But are these campaigns simply reflecting the fact that, actually, mums do most of the work at Christmas?
