Pope Francis at the Easter Vigil Pope Francis' Easter Message to the World "This is the culmination of the Gospel, it is the Good News par excellence: Jesus, who was crucified, is risen! This event is the basis of our faith and our hope. If Christ were not raised, Christianity would lose its very meaning; the whole mission of the Church would lose its impulse, for this is the point from which it first set out and continues to set out ever anew. That is why we tell everyone: “Come and see!”

BMI Day-by-Day Devotional Let no one seek his own, but each one the other's well-being. (1 Corinthians 10:24) As a Christian you are obliged to view your actions in light of how they will affect other Christians. You will discover God’s will for your life when you consider His activity in the lives of others. Whenever you meet another Christian, you come face to face with Christ (John 13:20). You have a responsibility to live in such a way that you do not hurt others. Our Daily Bread Back in the 1930s, my childhood home was loving and happy, but my parents were often away. On those occasions, the center of warmth in our home was the kitchen and our tiny, joyous housekeeper named Annie. I spent many hours with Annie, sitting at our kitchen table reading books or playing with toys and listening to her sing and hum spirituals and hymns. One morning, with childish exuberance, I used a racial slur I had heard. I learned that we cause unfathomable sorrow when we dishonor and debase others through bigotry. There is but one race: the human race. Of all creation’s treasures rare,Not one compares in worth with man,In God’s own image he was madeTo fill a place in His great plan. God desires that we show respect to all people, because everyone bears His image.

Diocese of Victoria Sacred Space | Daily Prayer Online Tozer Devotional Sun, October 16, 2011 Working Out What God Works In You The Holy Spirit in this passage is saying two things: God works in you to will, but you are to work with God in working it out. God works in you--that is, God is always previous. God is the aggressor. God saw you in the rut and wanted you to get out it. Verse Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed--not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence--continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose. Thought We are to continue to work out our salvation for it is God who energizes us to will and to act according to His good purpose. Prayer Amazing, Lord, You energize me to act according to Your purpose. Tozer Devotional RSS Subscribe “What I believe about God is the most important thing about me.” A. My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers What line of thinking do my thoughts take? Do I turn to what God says or to my own fears? Am I simply repeating what God says, or am I learning to truly hear Him and then to respond after I have heard what He says? “For He Himself has said, ’I will never leave you nor forsake you.’ “I will never leave you . . .”— not for any reason; not my sin, selfishness, stubbornness, nor waywardness. “I will never . . . forsake you.” We have the idea that God is going to do some exceptional thing— that He is preparing and equipping us for some extraordinary work in the future.
