Dynamic Paper Modes You can create the following: Nets – two-dimensional outlines of three-dimensional shapes, including regular polyhedra, prisms, pyramids, cylinders and cones Graph Paper – coordinate graphs, polar coordinates, logarithmic graph paper Number Lines – including positive and negative coordinates Number Grids – hundreds boards and the like Tessellations – tiling patterns involving triangles, quadrilaterals, and hexagons Shapes – pattern blocks, attribute blocks, and color tiles Spinners – up to 16 sectors, with adjustable sizes How to Use 14 Amazing Project Sites: A STEM, PBL, Common Core Series - A Goldmine of Resources The STEM and PBL Series Part 5… 14 Amazing Project Sites…. A STEM, PBL, Common Core Series… A Goldmine of Resources I hope you have enjoyed the series and if you missed any post, feel free to click above! This last of this series allows you to explore some PBL units. By searching through STEM subjects in these sites’ databases or directories you can come up with a PBL unit to use, remix, or possible implement a lesson from.

Garbology Featured Activity: Waste-Less Lunch Lead your students in learning about natural resources used in common packaging materials. Challenge your students to conserve natural resources through their lunch choices. 6-8STEMresources Introduction: In recent years, the potential impact of global warming has been discussed widely by the scientific community. The majority of scientific reports suggest that the Earth will be soon facing climate change as the Earth increases in temperature. Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth. The increase in temperature may only be a few degrees, however, this slight change could have a profound impact on the Earth's polar ice caps.

Connect the Dots But first, they must embrace science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to build the skills that will serve as their tool set for the future. For that to happen, we must work together to ignite their curiosity and get them excited about STEM in their everyday lives. So we ask you to join us in connecting the dots between learning and life. Together, we can ignite the spark in students around the clock and around the world. While after-school learning and summer programs provide rich opportunities to keep students inspired beyond the classroom, we know that unequal access to these programs can contribute to disparities in student achievement. STEM Camp combines hands-on labs, engineering challenges, digital investigations, and more - all designed to immerse kids in the grand challenges of science set forth by the National Academy of Engineering.
