Dragonfly Earrings - Beadwork - 06/14/99 Dragonfly Earrings Dateline: 06/14/99 What You'll Need: 22 Metallic Purple Iris Seed Beads 8 Metallic Green Iris Daggers 2 5mm Metallic Green Iris Beveled Cubes 6 metallic Green Iris Nibblettes (flat rectangles) Either 4 Size 3.3mm Delicas or Size 6° Pony Beads in Metallic Green Iris Gold Colored 28 Gauge Beading Wire Jewelry Pliers (Optional) Click here to see the beads I used. NOTE: You will have much better results if as you progress through each step you make sure that the wire is pulled snug before you continue. Begin with one yard of wire. Now take one pony bead and slide it on to the right hand strand of wire. Thread a dagger bead onto the strand of wire that is now on the right and pass the wire from right to left through the pony bead then bend it up out of the way. Take the left hand strand of wire and pick up a dagger bead. Now repeat the instructions in the previous 3 paragraphs to add another pony bead and another set of wings. Everywhere! Even my athletic clothing catalogs – which only have maybe three pieces of jewelry – are featuring this style. Why? Because it is casual yet chic and infinitely customizable!
