Muddy Colors: art -By Greg Ruth First off, I wince a bit at the notion of this unpublished project is a "failure" for many reasons, despite it being literally true. But because this was intended as a kind of back door sequel to my very first graphic novel, SUDDEN GRAVITY, and was expected to be completed and see publication, and it never did, it is safe to rest it in the categories of art misfires. However, it was a wholehearted success in so many other ways and probably the most influential piece of work no one ever saw, I would want you to get the idea it was a mistake or something I wish I could take back. Art is never a straight line and the pieces we make don't always go where they are supposed to- especially when we leave them to find their own way.

The Avengers Deleted Scene Reveals Dark Alternate Opening The Avengers Blu-ray is set to hit shelves on September 25, and once again we're been treated to an early look at one of the goodies on the set, with Yahoo! debuting a deleted scene that was meant to serve as the original opening of the film. If you get a little confused when you see New York City in tatters, you're meant to be-- this was an opening that was going to start the action at the beginning, including voiceover from Agent Maria Hall asking "You wanted to know what went wrong." See what else happens in the clip below: 174 - Flattening Workbenches and Wide Boards with a Router - The Wood Whisperer The traditional method for flattening a workbench is to use hand planes and winding sticks. While some folks truly relish this labor of love, others prefer to delegate this grunt work to power tools. The power tool method is very similar to the action of a CNC machine. A router is placed inside a sled that rides along two parallel rails that are attached to the sides of the bench. The router sled is very easy to make from scrap 3/4″ plywood.

Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of The Moon (1973) ☠ ~ Mediasurf Country: United Kingdom Genre: Progressive Rock, Psychedelic Rock.FLAC via Mega (Link).FLAC via Mega (Mirror Link) © © 1973-1985 Capitol RecordsAllMusic Review by Stephen Thomas Erlewine By condensing the sonic explorations of Meddle to actual songs and adding a lush, immaculate production to their trippiest instrumental sections, Pink Floyd inadvertently designed their commercial breakthrough with Dark Side of the Moon. The primary revelation of Dark Side of the Moon is what a little focus does for the band. Roger Waters wrote a series of songs about mundane, everyday details which aren't that impressive by themselves, but when given the sonic backdrop of Floyd's slow, atmospheric soundscapes and carefully placed sound effects, they achieve an emotional resonance. But what gives the album true power is the subtly textured music, which evolves from ponderous, neo-psychedelic art rock to jazz fusion and blues-rock before turning back to psychedelia.

Songs, Reviews, Credits In the wake of OK Computer, it became taken for granted among serious rock fans of all ages that Radiohead not only saved rock from itself, but paved the way toward the future. High praise, but given the static nature of rock in the last half of the '90s, it was easy to see why fans and critics eagerly harnessed their hopes to the one great rock band that wanted to push the limits of its creativity, without grandstanding or pandering. Daunting expectations for anyone, even for a band eager to meet them, so it's little wonder that Kid A was so difficult to complete.
