Awad, a watersports enthusiast from Flyboards UAE is clamping my feet into a space-age flyboard, intended to propel me up to 10 metres into the air with power from a 260hp jet-ski engine. What on earth have I gotten myself into this time? Flyboarding is the biggest new craze in watersports, and was invented a couple of years ago by a jet-ski champion called Franky Zapata.
