Lace & Tea » Marchesa Spring 2010
Posted on September 17th, 2009 Georgina Chapman never disappoints me, I’ve adored her collection since she and Keren Craig began in 2004. The delicate lace, soft satin and the tattooed legs (are they stockings? I cant tell). This is another collection I’ll view over and over in admiration. . . you may also enjoy . . .mary katrantzou fall 2011valentino fall 2011 haute couturestella mccartney’s bridal lingerie collection

The easiest shirt ever I thought this shirt was easy to make, but it doesn’t compare to the one I made for Isabel this weekend. She started describing a shirt she’d seen: square, slightly cropped, very drapey. I asked her to draw a picture and she drew a rectangle. Yes, I can do that. We found the drapiest fabric in the house, a fairly loose knit left over from Rosie’s weekend project.

15 Chic and Creative Ways to Tie a Scarf How to tie a half-bow scarf To tie the half-bow scarf, you should first loop the scarf around your neck and tie once– like the first step of tying your shoelaces. Then, take one side of the scarf and make a one loop, as if you were only tying one side of the bow on your shoes. Take the longer section of the scarf and wrap it in front and then behind the entire scarf, next to your neck. Fluff the loop afterwards to taste. This is a variation on this half-bow scarf tutorial.

THE SUN WAS HIGH: DIY // Galaxy Jeans I don't want to enter in a "I liked galaxies before it was cool to like them" monologue, but I've always been obsessed with outer space! My brother and I used to visit the local library and borrow tons of books about galaxies, spaceships and planets. The obsession stuck and now, even my design portfolio is filled with space-inspired pieces. There is something so fascinating and mysterious about coloured clouds, planets and stars... Galaxy print clothes have gained phenomenal popularity over the last three years, but oddly enough, they never made it to the racks of affordable chain stores. This afternoon, I found a pair of old washed out black jeans I wore in high school and I decided to make my own non-pricey galaxy-inspired jeans!

Sleeves, Necklines, Collars, and Dress Types I’ve recently ventured into drafting patterns starting from my basic bodice and skirt sloper.
