Easy pickings? Though they've been pretty predictable in recent years, the Oscar races may have some surprises in store. Predicting Oscar winners is one of the sillier things that a film critic does - after all, we don't vote on the things and we spend the other 51 weeks of the year saying they don't matter. But, every 12 months, we forget all that. And so we call Kreskin, haul out our crystal balls, concentrate really hard and come up with a list of who's going to win. Except, here's the thing: For the last three years, I've gotten all the major categories right. I'm not bragging, honestly. It's almost at the point where I want to get a couple wrong.
