WWPD: Your Source For All Things Flames of War! Ntrak Android: Netrunner LCG Core Set (Preorder) Monolithic megacorps and individualistic netrunners collide in a dystopian future. Set in the gritty, cyberpunk future of Android, Android: Netrunner is a two-player Living Card Game™ that rewards skill, strategy, and just the right amount of calculated risk. In a world where corporations can scan the human mind and interface it directly with electronic data, more data moves every second than was ever processed in the first five-thousand years of written language. The network is omnipresent, the crux of modern human civilization, and while visionary corporations seek to secure their most valuable data on the network, the elite hackers known as netrunners seek to steal it. This asymmetrical card game resurrects the mechanics of the original Netrunner, designed by Richard Garfield, and updates them to increase clarity and promote a more dynamic play environment. The Android: Netrunner Core Set features 252 cards, including seven unique identity cards.

Empire Board Games Company Blog Dear Customers and Board Gaming Community, We would first like to thank all of you for your great support of us while starting this website. Believe it or not, we couldn’t have done this without your kind words, participation in the forums, and of course, your purchases. While we love offering all of you great games at great prices, we have yet to find a method to make it worth our time and effort. At first, we thought that we could eventually make it through the rough times and become profitable. But after months of hard work and devotion, things weren’t looking up, and up to this point we haven’t been very profitable. Don’t get us wrong, we made some money, and again, we appreciate your support. At this time we would like to officially announce that we will be letting the Beta Board Game Project chill for the summer – as it is. Speaking of customer service: We feel that we have resolved nearly all customer service inquiries. Thanks again for all of your support! Sincerely, ShareThis

On Educational Games and Gaming - ptlehmann by Tom Lehmann (2/22/05, revised 4/29/10) Board games are often marketed as being "educational." Most games with this label are pretty bad -- they have some stupid trivia questions about their subject, to "earn" their educational status, instead of providing interesting strategies and meaningful player choices. Board games can be very educational, but not in this way. The first lesson one learns when playing a good, multi-player strategy board game, is how to lose. Learning to lose gracefully is tough. Second, good strategy games teach one how to make plans and adjust them as events unfold. Third, many strategy games have a chance element, such as dice, which can help teach some basic probability concepts. But all this is missing the point, the real thing that these games teach is the difference between good decisions and good outcomes. Sometimes, you make the correct decision in a game, but the cards or dice just don't come through; you have a bad outcome and lose.

They hope to find something without having to go to the library, search for books and read them – just with a few clicks.
