Trema (diacritic) The diaeresis (/daɪˈɛrɨsɨs/ dy-ERR-ə-səs) (also spelled diæresis or dieresis; plural: -es), trema or umlaut is a diacritic that consists of two dots ( ¨ ) placed over a letter, most commonly a vowel. When that letter is an i or a j, the diacritic replaces the tittle: ï.[1] The same symbol is also used as a diacritic in other cases, distinct from both diaeresis and umlaut. For example, in Albanian, ë represents a schwa. Evernote is an awesome app. I have been using it since it first became available. I have over 1200 notes , web clips, photos, etc and I have not paid a dime for it. Works well on all platforms, Web, Android and IOS by riknowlt Dec 17

Only app closer to Microsoft's infamous One Note is Growly Notes. Evernote subscription is more practical due to the syncing across platforms. Oh, I sign up for the beta version of Evernote to get a few more features. by csmark Jul 4

Good commendation Doc! What I seek is the combination of a few great applications that enable online learning among my students: so far I have Moodle as the core, Cooliris for the resources, Pearltrees for the curation of resources, ISSUU for the publications, Glass for the exchange and Evernote for the memory / portfolio.
