Unit 20 Level 3 (Upper Intermediate- Advanced): Mixed conditionals Besides the four types of conditional sentences you already know (first, second, third and zero), there is a fifth type which is used when the time in the "if" clause is not the same as the time in the main clause. These are called “mixed conditionals”, as they combine two different types of conditional patterns. 1) Watch this video to learn how second and third conditionals can be used together by mixing and matching the “if” and main clauses, thus forming a mixed conditional. 2) Let’s check some of the most important facts about this type of conditionals here and here.
