THE WALMART DRINKING GAME by Matt Houghton - Artist: Roxie Vizcarra To set the record straight: I’m a man who likes to drink. Excessively. I like to drink at bars, in clubs, at friends’ apartments, in my own apartment, with homeless people unless they’re scary or look diseased, while taking a dump and so on and so forth. Every time you see a mother pushing a cart with obese child in it, take one shot. Every time you see what appears to be a single mom under the age of 20, take one shot. Finally, a treat for the adults only– a simple, yet sinful take on a classic. I added Baileys Irish Cream, and used semi-sweet chocolate instead of milk-chocolate, and feel free to splurge on the more expensive chocolate. The garnish is up to you. Cheese Pinwheel Rolls Sooner or later, all my conversations inevitably turn to food. Don’t believe me? Call me up sometime and try to, say, sell me some insurance. I guarantee that before we get off the phone, I’ll be giving you my recipe for blackberry jam. I can’t help it. It’s just how I work. Perfect example: I was in a meeting a few weeks ago at the office. What was the best way to make them? Ah, the Frankenroll This recipe borrows heavily from two fairly unrelated things. To make these rolls, spread pizza dough liberally with melted butter, sprinkle it with cheese and spices, roll it up like a stromboli—then slice and bake like a pan of cinnamon buns. The result? Fill them however you like The best part about these rolls? This is what I always refer to as a Sliding-Scale Recipe. You can toss it together with a ball of pre-made dough and a bag of shredded cheese from the grocery store—or you can go all out and make the dough from scratch and grate your favorite cheeses by hand. The Zombie Hunters 251 - Hey, roomie.Posted on 2010-04-19 00:00:06 Updated the Reader Artwork, Reader Comics and Cosplay galleries! Yay! The book is coming along nicely, and a lot faster than I thought. At the moment I am now concentrating on the layout and the extras. And one more thing, I get a lot of "Where have all the zombies gone?" I'm not mad about anything, or even remotely upset, it's just when I get asked a question way more times than once, I feel like I should keep everyone in the know. So yes, that's all I have to say about that! Man Built a Sanctuary for Homeless Cats Caboodle Ranch Cat Shelter for Homeless Cats Craig Grant bought a tree farm far away from the city and turned it into a sanctuary for all the cats he has rescued. He lives there with the cats and provides lots of love, care and companionship. It’s hard to imagine that once he was not a cat lover and did not want cats until he met his son’s cat Pepper. He also got to experience what it is like raising a litter of kittens. “Over that time I learned that every cat had its own unique personality and it wasn’t long before the kittens were swinging from my curtains. “Cats should be able to roam free, and at Caboodle Ranch, that’s what they do.” Craig has built many beautiful cat houses and decorated the place with vibrant colors and tons of liveliness.

Uganda newspaper publishes 'gay list,' calls for their hanging Ugandan newspaper publishes 'gay list' Next to the list was a yellow strip with the words "hang them""We are all terrified," an activist says Homosexuality is illegal in most African countries (CNN) -- A Ugandan newspaper published a story featuring a list of the nation's "top" gays and lesbians with their photos and addresses, angering activists who say the already marginalized group risks facing further attacks. Earlier this month, Rolling Stone newspaper -- not affiliated with the U.S. magazine with the same name -- featured 100 pictures of Uganda's gays and lesbians. The story comes about a year after a Ugandan lawmaker introduced a measure that calls for the death penalty or long jail terms for those who engage in some homosexual activities. The proposal was shelved after an international outcry. "For me, the first thing that crossed my mind was, 'how can this country allow such things to happen?" The 29-year-old said she's a lesbian. 4 Brilliant Remarks From History’s Wisest American | Raptitude.com If I have a hero, it’s Ralph Waldo Emerson. He represents to me humanity’s potential: wise, self-reliant, honest, unencumbered by conformity, and able to enjoy every little detail of life as if they were all miracles. He possessed the hallmark of a human being ahead of his time: he was hailed as a genius and simultaneously reviled as a subvert. I am convinced that all of the secrets to personal peace and freedom reside within the ideas recorded in Emerson’s essays and lectures. Perhaps this is why he is so widely quoted and so scarcely read. It’s worth the effort. “People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of their character A person’s opinion of the world they live in really seems to be a foolproof litmus test for their strength of character. The wisest people I know invariably revere the world, and the most ineffective ones hate it. I have been on both sides. “There is an optical illusion about every person we meet “I hate quotations.
