Dual-touch smartphone design concept Smartphones have a thumb problem. The touchscreen is a magical invention, but it definitely has its shortcomings. The biggest problems is that your fingers are not transparent. Your fingers are also not very pointy. That’s what cursors were invented for, right? Laptops, on the other hand, solve the problem by using a touchpad. Wouldn’t it be great if your smartphone had both a touchscreen and a touchpad? But where would a touchpad fit on a smartphone? Well, how about the back side? You can do cool things with a touchpad on the back side of your phone. You could point a cursor very accurately and without obscuring the screen. A dual-touch phone is also the perfect selfie device - just tap the back to take your picture. You could scroll the screen without hiding it. A dual-touch phone allows you to invent entirely new ways of interacting with your device. The sky is the limit when it comes to games. Apple, Samsung, somebody, anybody, please make this happen.
A dream treehouse · Sheepy Me I've always wanted a treehouse when I was a child but living in a city made it a little difficult. Instead, we would built forts, tents or just crawl under the bed to play. It's weird right now but back then we really loved having those hideouts where nobody could find us. We could stay there for as long as we wanted. Telling horror stories and feeling like these were the safest places to be. But what happens if you're an adult and still dream of a treehouse? I did a little web research for treehouses all over the world and oh my what I found. Safe Arbor in Switzerland. Trillium. The enchanted forest. A modern, pitched roof treehouse. A treehouse morning. We’ll go over scanning, cleaning, flatting, coloring, rendering, and texturing techniques. There’s just as many ways to coloring a drawing digitally as there is to painting a picture. Step 1: Scanning Your Inks In this tutorial, I’m going to use my own illustration. Make sure you are scanning in black and white. Step 2: Isolating the Line Art Now that we have our image scanned, open it in Adobe Photoshop. Press Ctrl/Cmd + Alt/Option + 2 (for Photoshop CS4 and up) or Ctrl/Cmd + Alt/Option + ~ (for Photoshop CS3 and below). Tip: I encourage you to know and use Photoshop shortcut keys; it saves a lot of time. Then press Delete to remove the selected white areas, leaving us with just the line art on this layer.
