Amigurumi!
Amigurumis are maybe my favorite thing to crochet. For a past christmas I had made one for each one on my family, they turned out to be really nice and they liked them a lot. Also some of my friends have asked me to make one for them... I've been surfing the web for different patterns all over the place. This are the ones I've made for my family: My pictures are not as nice a they could be, I take them with my phone camera, looking for the best spot in regards of light in my house. I was burning to share a new pattern, so I decided to share my polar bear, as the picture is not that bad... hook size: 4 yarn: white BODY Working in spiral...
Yarn-Bombed Birdhouse
Note: The instructions are written for Birdhouse with measurements approx 5" [12.5 cm] square at perimeter (excluding base) x 8" [20.5 cm] tall from bottom of base to top of roof at highest point. If dimensions of your Birdhouse are different, you will have to adjust number of stitches and rows based on given gauge and dimensions of your Birdhouse. Base covers: Make 1 each in A, B, C and D (4 sides in total): (6 1/2" [16.5 cm] wide x 1/2" [1.5 cm] tall x 1/2" [1.5 cm] deep). Tip: If your Base has different dimensions, your calculations will be: Width of Base x 15 ÷ 4 + 1 = You have to end up with a rounded number. In our case 61/2" x 15 ÷ 4 + 1 = 25.375. Ch 25. 1st row: (RS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of chain. Side Wall Covers: Make 1 each in B and D (2 sides in total): 5" [12.5 cm] wide x 5" [12.5 cm] tall. Tip: If your Walls have different dimensions, your calculations will be: Width of Wall x 15 ÷ 4 + 1 = You have to end up with a rounded number.
Birds of a Feather
Our kitchen is the only area of the house that enjoys large stretches of clear glass windows, greeting and welcoming the rising sun more enthusiastically than any other room. That could at least partially explain why I spend far more time there than in my own room, where even the wide open curtains only let in the faintest sliver of light, only a mere suggestion that it might in fact be day time. Like a moth drawn to the light, I’m likely to be found basking in the glow emitted by the row of windows adjacent to the fully transparent door downstairs, in the presence of all cooking activities surrounding. As much as I love this bright space, there are times when I curse the carefully constructed layout. It’s not entirely unusual to hear a sickening thud out of no where, and it’s instantly understood that another short-sighted bird mistook the solid surface as an opening. Body: Wings (Make 2): Sc 6 into a circle Sc2 into each st (12 sts) Sc 3, sc2 into next st (15 sts) Sc around for 3 rounds

Crocheted Flowers Pattern « I made this
Sorry Angie. I had planned to take some pics to go with this before posting. But it would be ages before that happens, being the protracted procrastinator that I am. So here goes. Easy Peasy! Chain (17,35,53) (S,M,L) I chained 53 for all flowers and used an acrylic worsted weight yarn. ROW 1 Dc in 5th chain from hook, *ch 1, skip 1, (dc-ch-dc) in next ch (V stitch made) Repeat from * across to end. ROW 2 Ch 3 (counts as dc) 5 dc in ch space, * sc in next ch-1 space, 6 dc in next ch-1 space (shell stitch made) Repeat from *, ending in 6 dc in last ch-1 space. I found this pattern here.
