...love Maegan: * Leather Lanyard Bracelet Maeg-it Yourself * Fashion+Home+Lifestyle If you went to Summer Camp as a kid, you’ll totally remember making lanyard keychains with that brightly colored plastic lace {I had tons of them!} …so I thought, why not do it with leather lace? And I did. And I love them! Pair them with stacks of other bangles and bracelets to add a little texture! {p.s. you can also make this into a necklace, headband or belt as well} i´m bringing sexy back really easy to DIY! Either sew together a see-through shirt and a denim one, or just cut out the back part of the denim shirt in the shape you like, and copy the shape of the piece you cut out onto a see-through fabric. This shirt is from Pixiemarket.com DIY Studded Sneakers Studding sneakers has been on our DIY to-do list for awhile now. But the idea of hand piercing hundreds of holes through thick canvas was daunting enough to allow such procrastination. Enter E6000, the crème de la crème of adhesives. As you probably know by now, it’s our secret weapon for quickly and effectively attaching metal to fabric. So after the recent release of Vans‘ brushed twill pastel Authentics, we thought it was the perfect summer shoe to adorn. So grab some glue and let’s get studding!

DIY Chainmail Necklace You’ll need: Start by separating the jump rings into two halves: 175 open and 175 closed. Thread three closed jump rings onto an open jump ring. DIY Orange Bracelets Because I’m thinking orange this week I thought I’d share a couple DIYs that pre-date this blog. The bracelet above is one I did over a year ago and it’s really simple to make. The chain was from Michaels and I used embroidery floss to wrap two lengths of it together…. that’s it! It also reminds me of the project Honestly WTF posted a few months ago – they’re both takes on the same general trend. This one is made from Indian glass beads wire-wrapped to a chain. It’s a simple technique that looks cool when it’s repeated with tons of beads.

DIY Wrap Bracelet You should all know by now that we are all about stacking bracelets on our wrists. The more, the better. In fact . . . the most, the best! Two Tone Shirt Instructions: Needed-Two shirts of the same size (I used two from Zara)-scissors-a few pins-sewing machine/needle and thread step one.Cut both shirts in half. An easy way to do this is laying the shirts flat on the ground and aligning the side seems. Pin the seams together at the top and at the bottom of the shirt. DIY Chevron + Chain Necklace Summer isn’t complete without a bright, punchy necklace. I’ve been inspired by all of the bright necklaces in stores this summer (this and this being at the top of my wish list,) and wanted to make something that I can wear while I’m at home all week on the Cape (or all summer long, for that matter.) Preppy, fun and bright… what could be better? I also made a red, white, and blue version to wear on the fourth, so be sure to scroll all the way down to see how that one turned out.

DIY Chindi Reindeer The moment I spotted these colorfully wrapped reindeer and moose at Anthropologie last December, I knew I had to DIY it for HonestlyWTF this holiday season. Created in the style of vibrant Chindi rugs from Jaipur, India, these wrapped reindeer are incredibly fun to make, are a clever way to repurpose old t-shirts, and make fabulous gifts! You’ll need:paper mache reindeer or any other animal1 yard total of various colors of cotton or wool jersey2 small brown pom pomshot glue gunlots of glue sticksscissorsjingle bells (optional)string (optional) Start by cutting the fabric, along the width, into 1″ strips. For a medium sized paper mache object, 26-30 strips should suffice.
