Egg Note Over in Beyond Beyond towers we have one weakness, of the Achilles Heal variety and it is eggs. Scrambled, poached, sunny side up, boiled – whatever way you can imagine them we have had them in all the many fangled ways that you can imagine! What we have never had is an invitation in an egg and this exploded our minds not even blew them. So, if you want to fry people’s minds like eggs then you can learn how to make these eggtastic wonders here on Poppytalk. Droolsome, and after you make your message in an egg we like paprika and parma ham in our scrambled eggs. The dopeness glory goes to: Elephantine (thanks for the find) and Poppytalk (a big make WOW). About the author I'm the big kahuna with the whole shebang. Wall-o-Love « This Handmade Circus This is one of the most wonderful places in our home and I firmly believe everyone should have one of those. So please come take a tour through our lives and our hearts with one simple look at our wall-o-love… Heres a quick tutorial on how to make your own! This was one of those so-determined-I-cant-stop-to-take-pictures kind of projects and it took an insane amount of brain power to create. But, as always this has been done many times and much better than mine. Ok! Then I cut out newspapers to be the exact shape of the frames and made a mark where the nail should go for each frame. Once I was satisfied, we just nailed the nails right onto the paper and then ripped it right off and viola! This is from our wedding, we did a photobooth for our guests to leave us photos and notes as a guest book. This is a postcard I bought on a side street in Paris and backed with a piece of cardstock to fit the frame. This is one of my favorite corners. I made this because 1. Isaiah 61:1 Like this:

Headband Refashion Our headband had a flower that was starting to look a little tired and worn so we made it new again! This braided ribbon could embellish many things— a hair clip would be cute too! These headbands would make great handmade gifts for little girls to make each other! Woven Ribbon Headband Gather a headband and about 4 1/2 yards of ribbon. Begin by finding the middle of the ribbon. Now bring the bottom ribbon up and make a loop and send it through the beginning loop that you just made by crossing the ribbon. Pull the right side snug. Now repeat for the other side, picking up the right side, making a loop and sending it up through the loop just made on the other side. Pull the left side snug. Pull right side snug. Continue braiding until you have a piece long enough to cover the headband. Bring the other side over and then trim. Hot glue ribbon to headband. Finished!

Star Jars These transformed mason jars are a fun way to both decorate an outdoor table for a 4th of July celebration or a safe way to entertain the kids during fireworks. Red spray paint Mason Jars Star stickers Newspaper Scatter star stickers onto the mason jar, make sure they’re stuck on very tight Screw on the mason jar lid and cap and place on top of a table covered in newspaper in a well ventilated area Spray with the paint from a nice distance around the entire jar until it’s coated well but without drips. Wait at least a couple hours for the jar to dry and carefully peel off the star stickers Place 2-3 battery operated votive candles in each jar and enjoy your festive 4th of July evening!

DIY Handmade Tea Soap Tea and soap. They are two of my favorite things. Combine them and what you’ve got is something amazing! I, myself, have made several tea scented soaps over the years including aWhite Tea Shea Butter Soap, but I’ve also created a Chamomile Tea Soap in the past and a super fun Southern Sweet Tea Soap. My Southern Sweet Tea Soap was reminiscent of tea with lemon, sweetened with a touch of honey. Not only are these handmade soaps super simple to make – just combine your favorite melt and pour soap base with some Earl Grey Tea – but the packaging is brilliant and makes the result of this project perfect for gifting! say YES! to hoboken: DIY: Tinted Mason Jars in Rainbow I’ve been experimenting with tinting mason jars to create a look like those old vintage ones that are difficult to find anymore in second hand stores. I think I’ve finally honed in on the perfect method. Would you like to see how it’s done? Check out the DIY here. Fill them with flowers, or illuminate an outdoor party filling them with battery operated tea lights or a strand of twinkle lights. copyright 2014 liz stanley // all rights reserved making chapstick & tidytipsy.photography When the weather gets cooler my mind turns not only to knitting but also to making body products. I made chapstick already last year, but wasn’t overly happy with the recipe, so I tried a different one this year. I used: 20% beeswax 25% coconut oil 15% cocoa butter 40% olive oil No coloring, no scent, no smell. I actually like the faint smell of beeswax :) I was aiming for three or four tubes worth of chapstick and eyeballed the quantity. Now I’m not that good with numbers, so eyeballing was probably not the best idea in the first place. The process is very simple: 1. 2. 3. Done! Like this: Like Loading...
