Since I wrote this post about making a stencil I have found that making stencils are MUCH easier with my Silhouette Machine. So, if you would like to see an easy way to make a stencil with a Silhouette check out that post! UPDATE:Also, if you would like some FREE stencil designs, check out that post also! A few weeks ago, I came across this amazing image fromWhitewall and Co. Step 1: Go to Office Max or Staples and get some clear folders like the ones in this picture below. Step 2: Cut the folders and tape them together. Tape the two folders together to create a large enough area for your stencil. Step 3: Find an image that you like for your stencil and have it printed large enough to trace. Step 4: Trace your image on to your plastic folders with your narrow sharpie. This is what it will look like once you have the image traced. Step 5: With an exact-o-knife, cut out the image. Here is when the FUN begins!

The magical ingredient in today’s DIY beauty blend is strawberry (have you noticed our fruity theme on the peta2 blog?). Strawberries contain malic acid which helps remove tooth discoloration. Add a little baking soda into the mix (as a buffer), and BAM—you’ve got yourself a natural tooth whitener! What you’ll need: 1 ripe strawberry1/2 teaspoon of baking soda Mash the strawberry and mix it in with the baking soda. I pretreated the EVOO stain with Shout spray, left it over night, then ran the shirt through the washer AND dryer. The penguin shirt came out of the dryer with the EVOO stain still there. Or so I thought. I pretreated with Grandma’s Stain Spray, let it rest overnight, and ran through the wash again. Would you like some wonderful stain spray for your laundry room? Fill an empty squirt bottle with equal parts Water AmmoniaJOY Dishwashing Liquid Spray on stain and gently rub in. I strongly recommend using JOY dishwashing liquid. I can’t guarantee the spray will take out every stain you come across, but it works just as well (if not better!) I hope you have the same stain-fighting success! WARNING: Whether cleaning your bathroom or doing laundry, NEVER use bleach and ammonia products at the same time.
Our Last Minute Adult Costumes: Pregnant Skeleton and Matching Husband |... My husband and I usually scrape up scraps of something to wear as a costume before going to any Halloween party each year. We love to dress up and we love to celebrate……but any costumes for us just seem to get set aside until the very last minute. I was thinking that being pregnant for Halloween could be a fun thing to work around. So I googled ideas a couple of days ago……looking for something that would be easy enough to do last minute. Then I remembered that last year, I had seen a particular homemade costume online (one was even in the virtual costume parade last year……..thanks Wendy!) So, then, the hard part. Finding a template. Aaaaggh, nothing…….so much for saving some time last minute. ;) So I sketched something out, tried my hand at freezer paper stenciling (now I understand the craze of freezer paper stenciling) and came up with this: The pregnant skeleton costume. . No more hiding, baby girl…….we can all see you now. And of course, my husband wanted in on the fun. Right?

PARALLAX How to : My French, Funky French and Other Nail Designs Many times while on MUA, I will post pictures of nail designs & TONS of funky frenches. I often get asked just how I do it. So here is my step by step for you guys. Here is the mani, I will be showing you how I did. First you paint your base color, this can be ANY color you want. Then, I take scotch tape, and stick it to my palm. Then I tape it onto my nail, in the desired design, here it is my diagonal design. Once you have it right, you paint your nail the other polish color – Remember to do 1 nail at a time, otherwise the 2nd polish can dry to the tape, and pull up. Once you're done, painting the nail, just slowly pull the tape off. I hope this helps, and is easy to understand.
