Certaines concernent seulement la Mendel, d’autres toutes les RepRap. Toutes les machines Mendel seulement Plateau chauffant, ventilateur Les pièces se déforment pendant l’impression dès qu’elles atteignent une certaine taille et/ou épaisseur. L’utilisation d’un ventilateur est indispensable lorsqu’on imprime en PLA ou en ABS, si les pièces sont petites ou comportent de petites parties. Usure de l’orifice d’entrée du filament L’orifice d’entrée du filament dans la tête d’impression sera peu à peu usé par le passage de celui-ci. Poussières sur le filament Le filament attire de la poussière par électricité statique. Poussières sur les barres X et Y Les barres X et Y supportant la tête ou le plateau d’impression accumulent de la poussière, qui s’y agglomère car ces barres sont graissées. Planéité du support Torsader les fils Le croisement des fils doit être aussi serré que possible pour être efficace.
RepRap // rassemblement des pièces Ce projet a plutôt bien commencé. Peu de temps après avoir dit vouloir entamer la construction d'une RepRap, j'ai reçu un mail de deux retraités parisiens qui, justement, se lancent dans la commercialisation de lots de pièces imprimés. Du coup ça c'est fait ^^ revoyons la checklist... Pièces imprimées : made in Paris ~80€ (merci à Gérard M. et Bernard L.) Roulements/bearings : 23,49€ (après coup il aurait peut-être mieux valut les commander en même temps que les fixations chez mendel-parts) Barres/bar : Bricomarché de Marseille sur l'avenue du Prado 10,65€ Les barres d'acier et tiges filetées Tiges filetées/Threaded rod : Provence Matériaux vers Mallemort 12,27€ Moteurs pas à pas/Stepper motors : Nema 17, 43N.cm (4,3 kg.cm). Finalement une bonne part des composants de base on été commandés sur (quincaillerie, courroies, moteurs, kapton,...) et devraient bientôt arriver. [11/08/10 réception du colis de mendel-parts]

Jean-Marc just printed Misguided's Screw Cup from Thingiverse (above) on one of our RepRapPro Huxleys in ABS. But check out this surface finish under the microscope: The line is a 60-micron human hair (selflessly donated by Christine Bowyer under only mild protest; as those aware of my appearance will know, I am incapable of providing such a sample myself). We think that the quality we're getting is rather good... reprap Julien c'est notre merveilleux usineur, un de ces rares artisans qui persistent dans le coin. L'autre jour on est allé lui rendre visite à son atelier, c'était la première fois que je le rencontrais. Julian is our talentous machinist, one of those rare skilled artisans that still exist around. The other day we visited his workshop, it was the first time I met him. L'atelier est de taille moyenne, mais propre et très bien rangé. The workshop isn't too small nor too large, but clean and tidy. Sa plus récente acquisition est un impressionnant centre d'usinage numérique, 3 broches, 16 outils, avec chargeur automatique de matière première pour alimenter la machine en continue, de quoi lancer une production sur mesure, et passer à l'échelle sans soucis.
