Two Suns? Twin Stars Could Be Visible From Earth By 2012 By Dean Praetorius | HuffingtonPost.com Earth could be getting a second sun, at least temporarily. Dr. When that happens, for at least a few weeks, we’d see a second sun, Carter says. The Star Wars-esque scenario could happen by 2012, Carter says... or it could take longer. But doomsday sayers should be careful about speculation on this one. In fact, a neutrino shower could be beneficial to Earth. UPDATE: To clarify, the news.com.au article does not say a neutrino shower could be beneficial to Earth, but implies a supernova could be beneficial, stating, "Far from being a sign of the apocalypse, according to Dr Carter the supernova will provide Earth with elements necessary for survival and continuity." Shakesville BrowserQuest Growing up « Alice and Kev When the Grandpa family came upstairs to evict Alice from their bed, she revealed it was actually her birthday. The Grandpas cheered and whooped, then told her to hurry up and get out. So Alice has successfully survived to become a teenager. She’s gained the trait of ‘unlucky’. Upon returning home, I discover that Kev has a lot more to say to his daughter now that she’s grown up a bit. In particular, he now has a large variety of very specific insults for her, rather than mere generic arguments. It’s then that she appears to snap, and surprises me by coming back with some insults of her own. I thought she was going to be incapable of any kind of negative social interaction due to her ‘good’ trait. Next: Enemies Like this: Like Loading...

01 by Lar deSouza It’s been some time since I last launched a new feature, a little over 3 years I believe, so forgive me if I’m a bit rusty with this. In brief, Gutters is a series of standalone pages that parody the comic book industry and the heroes and characters that dwell within. Think of it as an editorial cartoon targeting comic books, and you’ll understand where we’re going with it. While I’ll be writing Gutters, Lar will be the art director with Ed Ryzowski serving as colorist. A new Gutters will be posted here every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Rather than using this space right here for blogging purposes, it will instead be primarily used for me to talk about the artist of this specific page, giving you a rundown of their career so far, along with related links. This first page, however, is done by a man they call Lar deSouza, and it’s fairly certain he needs no introduction from me. -sohmer

Todd Lamb Notes From Chris Welcome to the “ Notes From Chris” gallery. These are notes that I post around New York City from a mysterious man named Chris. Chris wants to do tedious things with people. 271 by Bill Mund Hey Mark, don’t worry. We’ve all had those curiosities. Those dark, digital urges… and for the most part, they’ve worked out fine! I honestly don’t get the reaction that certain retailers have had to Mark and Marvel’s new digital initiatives. Maybe one day digital comics will be all we have. And, speaking of those print comics, guess who just smashed two walls in their store and is having a special sale this weekend? This weekend only, you can get 2 Gutters books for only $40! This is a crazy deal, essentially 2-for-1 on the over-sized hardcover Gutters books that between the two feature over 130 Gutters pages plus sketches, commentary, as well as covers and forewords by some of the biggest and best in comics. The sale is only this weekend, so jump on it! Today’s page came to us from jolly old England via Bill Mund: Originally from Sydney, Australia, Bill Mund is a freelance Illustrator represented by Drawing Book Studios. Until next time, be good and see you Monday! -Moss
