There are many different ways to organize a compare and contrast essay. In a subject-by-subject essay, you can begin by saying what you have to say about the first subject you are discussing, then make all the points you want to make about the second subject. Creative Writing: Topics, Tips & Guidelines Continuing Shakespeare - Mia Smith I ett tidigare blogginlägg berättade jag om hur jag introducerat Shakespeare till mina elever i år 7 och 8. Arbetet har fortlöpt, och här tänkte jag presentera ytterligare några bitar. Shakespeare your way Den här uppgiften är den, enligt mig och många av mina elever, mest spännande inom det här arbetsområdet. Shakespeares verk har tolkats och omarbetats i otaliga versioner ända sedan de skrevs, och mina elever får nu göra egna tolkningar. Fokusområdet är att anpassa språket efter syfte, mottagare och situation. Eleverna fick inspiration från ett Tedx Talk om att tolka Shakespeare inom hiphip-genren och en låt av Taylor Swift baserad på Romeo and Juliet. Eleverna hittade snabbt olika spår och klurade på olika tekniska lösningar för att se hur man kan gestalta den klassiska berättelsen på olika sätt. Att lära av gamla prov för att lyfta nivån på skrivandet Jag har letat fram gamla nationella prov i engelska för C-delen och elevlösningar som är bedöma i det röda häftet för att kunna använda i undervisningen. Jag har lyckats hitta fyra olika prov som inte har sekretess längre. Dessa kommer vi att titta på efter påsklovet fram till elevernas egna skrivande av texter på de nationella proven i engelska vilket blir ganska precis tre veckor. Vad är en article? Have you heard about Black Out Poetry before? What is Black Out Poetry? Blackout poetry focuses on rearranging words to create a different meaning. Also known as newspaper blackout poetry, the author uses a permanent marker to cross out or eliminate whatever words or images he sees as unnecessary or irrelevant to the effect he's seeking to create. Nya ögon på egna texten · Mia Smith Jo, jag skulle gärna vilja ge alla mina elever individuell återkoppling på deras texter. Gärna varje vecka, för allihop. Men det finns inte en chans att hinna det med den arbetsbelastning vi har idag. Och med den lärarbrist som redan blivit tydlig kan vi inse att vi inte kommer få någon rimligare arbetsbelastning. Därför måste vi tänka annorlunda. Korta texter är också texter Självklart behöver eleverna träna på att skriva långt, men ibland räcker det faktiskt med något kort.
