The trees provide social enterprise opportunities for rural women’s cooperatives schools, orphan homes and clinics because the fruits, leaves, and pods of these “miracle” trees are considered nutritional powerhouses. The Need Rural villages struggle every day to combat a variety of societal issues, each an integral component to the healthy growth of communities. Long Term Impact Moringa trees are: rich in nutrients higher in protein than soybean meal; drought resistant once established; used for household water purification; a source of edible oil, bio fuel, and cattle feed. Soil Atlas of Latin America and the Caribbean New atlas helps protect the soils of Latin America and the Caribbean: a precious resource for a growing population The European Commission's in-house science service today publishes the first ever comprehensive overview of the soils of Latin America and the Caribbean. Through colourful maps and illustrations the atlas explains in a simple and clear manner the diversity of soil across Central and South America and the Caribbean. In Latin America and the Caribbean, soils have to meet the needs of a population that is in continuous and rapid growth. The atlas is designed to reach the general public, the education sector and policy makers dealing with environmental, agricultural and social issues. Coordinated by the European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC), the Soil Atlas of Latin America and Caribbean is the result of a fruitful collaboration with leading soil scientists in Europe, Central and South America and the Caribbean. Kinetic Rain | Art + Com Art + Com have recently installed a beautifully choreographed installation in Terminal 1 of Changi Airport in Singapore. It consists of raindrops made from lightweight aluminum covered in copper which are raised and lowered in a 15-minute computationally designed choreography. Courtesy of Art + Com The installation consists of exactly 1,216 high shine copper plated aluminium drops, hanging from the ceiling on almost invisible wire ropes, from which every one of them can be moved with a motor. Due to the software written especially for the project by MKT, the motors are programmed in such a way, that the drops dance for 15 minutes, including 16 different programme sections. In total, Kinetic Rain spans an area of more than 75 m² and is installed in a space over 8 metres high. The successful result can now be admired by the thousands of travellers, who pass through the departure / check in hall in terminal 1 at Changi Airport and should encourage them to spend a moment and pause.

Mañana sábado partiremos hacia Nueva York haciendo escala en The Falling Water en Pennsylvania. Haciendo un aproach de lo que sería su más grande obra, esa mañana salimos al barrio Oak Park a visitar las obras de Frank Lloyd Wright. A primera hora ya estábamos en la emblemática casa. El Oak Park es algo así como una mezcla de Carrasco y Pocitos en Montevideo. Pasado el mediodía partimos al IIT a visitar los edificios de Mies, otro (considerado) salado. Vimos el partido de final de la Champions que el AC Milan le ganara 2 x 1 al Liverpool FC en Atenas y nos tomamos la Green Line hacia “State & Lake”, nuestra estación de Metro que nos dejaba en pleno centro, a pasitos de nuestro Apart de turno, el gran Tokio Hotel. United Center El tiempo de llegada hasta “Ashland” y la llegada del tren que nos depositaría en las cercanías demoró más de la cuenta y ya la tarde se hizo noche. Al llegar nuevamente nos topamos con la decepción.
