From the materials we use to the hands that ply them, we match the care that goes into everything we make to that of the artist that designed it. It begins with those thousands of artists entrusting their original work to another. It's the paper that isn't just paper, but pressed European cotton. It's the archival quality inks that mean your print outlives you. It's the craftsmen that print, cut, check and pack your art. All together, thousands of steps were taken to make your Art Print. This is our process. This is our art.

Blog Archive & Seven Deadly Glasses by Kacper Hamilton Young London-based designer Kacper Hamilton has created a set of seven wine glasses inspired by the seven deadly sins: lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath (above), envy and pride. Above and below: greed The seven wine glasses are presented in a specially designed mahogany case (see bottom of story). "Each glass encapsulates a sin, which is revealed through the ritual of drinking," explains Hamilton. The glasses will be exhibited at the Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design Degree Show from June 12th-June 19th at Southampton Row, London. The set is a limited edition, available to order. James Charles – Pop Cultured Currency Repurposing existing objects for other uses is always cool. Repurposing them for pop culture references though is even better. James Charles has been doing just that with United States currency for the last year or so. Many more after the jump.

- StumbleUpon @lodown: That's the exact same impression I got from the images. I guess the intention wasn't to subvert, just 'put a new spin on', which is a shame. I like the images well enough, but 'oooh, pretty' doesn't make for very good art, it's just pretty. @lodown: No intention to subvert pinups. @silver-bolt: Well, that's why I said, "if". It seems to me that some of these illustrations depict beautiful women in classic pin-up style, but also dressed in outfits or in situations that reference BDSM, fascism, and gory violence. The women here are depicted as threatening, aggressive and even sadistic, but they're still sexy in the usual way (hourglass figures, Caucasian features, long limbs, able-bodied, etc.) I think a true subversion of the genre would be to depict non-typically pretty women (or men or transgendered persons) in the same sort of luscious, cheesecake poses. These are just idle thoughts, though.

How To Draw A Wave | Club Of The Waves This art tutorial, kindly donated by surfing comic strip illustrator and surf artist Bob Penuelas covers how to draw a wave the Wilbur Kookmeyer way! If you're like me, then you've probably spent a lot of time in high school class daydreaming and doodling a thousand perfect cartoon waves in your notebook. It's safe to say that ninety percent of us surfers have a habit of scribbling perfect waves whenever a pencil is in our hands. Remember, there are millions of ways to draw a wave and hopefully with these simple pointers you'll find a million more. Drawing a basic wave The following illustrations and captions by Bob Penuelas take you through the basic steps of drawing a wave… Step 1 Sketch in the basic shape of the curl, spray, foam and base of the wave. Step 2 Add an extra line running parallel and below the curl line to define the thickness of the lip. Step 3 Add a flow line starting at the lip and curve it around to suggest roundness of the liquid lip. Step 4 Add the rest of the flow lines.
