Cinnamon Sugar Pull-Apart Bread « Recipe Looks yummy, right? And let me tell you, this cinnamon bread really is yummy! Immensely! I am actually so impressed by it that I would call it a gift from heaven. Okay, maybe not exactly from heaven since the original recipe was born in Joy the Baker’s kitchen. Dear friends, please prepare this delicious, finger-licking, soft, yeasty, cinnamony bread over the weekend for your family. If you wonder how, I’ll show you… Here’s the list of ingredients. 1. 2. 3. You can also melt the butter in milk in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. 4. 5. I kneaded the dough by hand for about 10 minutes. You can, of course, use an electric mixer and have the job done in about half the time. 6. O-oh, we have a serious case of yeastafalitis here. Or, in other words, this is what happened after I let the dough rest for one hour. 7. 8. 9. 10. Melt the butter (in the microwave oven or in a saucepan). 11. 12. 13. I went horizontally, it’s the rebel in me. Joy said she drooled at this phase. 14. 15. 16. 17. 18.

The No-Knead Bread December 18, 2008 | By Adam Roberts | 56 Comments If you haven’t heard about the no-knead bread by now, you clearly don’t read many food blogs (or newspapers, for that matter.) Last year, in The New York Times–actually, TWO years ago in The New York Times (the article was published November 8, 2006! Boy, I’m way behind on making this)–Mark Bittman coaxed a recipe from master bread baker Jim Lahey for perfect bakery-quality bread at home. Shockingly, the recipe required no work, no kneading of any kind. The food world was astonished. Really, it just came down to an impulse. 3 cups all-purpose or bread flour 1/4 teaspoon instant yeast 1 1/4 teaspoons salt I went into the kitchen and mixed those things together. That was it. I spent the next day frolicking in the meadow and healing the sick, and when I was ready for bread–approximately 7 PM, Saturday night–I looked back at my bowl and saw this: It had risen! The next step is to flour a work surface. 2 more hours! Looks good already, doesn’t it?

Supercook: recipe search by ingredients you have at home Smoothie Recipes For Everything Who knew that the solution to most our problems could be solved with a smoothie?! Smoothie Recipes For Everything infographic from Super Skinny Me gives you the ingredients and visually represents the amount of each that should put in. Trying to lose weight? Want to de-stress? Or maybe just want a bedtime drink. Is there anything as versatile, adaptable and convenient as a smoothie? The major issue I have with this design is that the proportions visualized for each smoothie aren’t accurate to the recipe. Also, the actual amounts of each ingredient aren’t shown. How to Make Caramel Apple Shots | Food Republic - StumbleUpon Photo: Michelle Oddis Once in a while, a party trick comes along that grabs our attention. Food blogger Michelle Oddis of That's So Michelle loves making caramel apple shots we can't imagine anyone would turn down. Using, wait for it, real fruit and time-tested formulas for tasty, jiggly shots that stay put in their edible "shotglasses," Michelle's gotten Food Republic on the gimmicky Halloween bandwagon we've been resisting so fiercely. Try out these irresistible boozy apple treats (and don't hold your breath for a candy corn cocktail on our end). Here's what you'll need: 10 small granny smith apples 1 envelope knox gelatin 1/2 cup water 1/2 cup coconut milk 2 drops yellow food coloring 1 envelope Land 'o Lakes caramel hot chocolate (regular would do just fine if you can't find caramel) 1/4 cup sugar 1/2 cup butterscotch schnapps lemon juice Halve and hollow out apples, cutting them from the stem down using a melon baller or spoon. Cut halves in quarters and those quarters in half again.
