Rowdy crowds shut down Electric Daisy film premiere L.A. media have been commendably all over this as the story has developed, but in case you missed the nightly news: There was a skirmish tonight between dance-music fans and police outside Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood at the premiere of the new concert flick Electric Daisy Carnival Experience. And a number of fingers are being pointed at Kaskade. The DJ, who resides in San Clemente, was scheduled to play an invitation-only set in front of the landmark movie house shortly before the film, chronicling the long-running dance music festival. While on his way to the performance, Kaskade (aka Ryan Raddon, 40) started tweeting his 90,000-plus followers about the private event, encouraging them to come see: "Today@6pm in Hollywood @MANN's Chinese Theatre. Immediately before posting that, Kaskade hinted that he knew what sort of street party might erupt: "Let's see if the magic of social networking will work today," he sent out. A geek is one who isn’t satisfied knowing only the surface facts, but instead has a visceral desire to learn everything possible about a particular subject. How to become a real computer Geek? Nest Rest: Huge Hanging Birdhouse-Shaped Hut for Humans Tree house meets bird house, with a dash of hammock thrown into the mix. While it is not large enough to house the amenities of a true tree home, it is certainly a step up from a simple outdoor couch or recliner – and can be hung at a variety of heights. The resemblance goes more than skin deep, with a woven wood-like structure that parallels the way in which nests are built in nature. ?The result is a semi-enclosed, seclusion-granting space to relax that nonetheless breathes (though, to do so, sacrifices potential rain protection). Almost as neat as the organic design by Dedon itself are the suggested implementations. Finally, the main frames come in a few colors including white and a more natural-looking brown, while the cushions are available in a variety of patterns, textures and materials including acrylic, leather and polyester … how these will weather the outdoors, though, is another question.
