Food, Inc. Food, Inc. is a 2008 American documentary film directed by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Robert Kenner.[3] The film examines corporate farming in the United States, concluding that agribusiness produces food that is unhealthy, in a way that is environmentally harmful and abusive of both animals and employees. The film is narrated by Michael Pollan and Eric Schlosser.[4][5] Content[edit] The film's first segment examines the industrial production of meat (chicken, beef, and pork), calling it inhumane and economically and environmentally unsustainable. Interviews[edit] Production[edit] Michael Pollan was a consultant and appears in the film. Releases and box office[edit] The film was due to be released in the United Kingdom in the summer of 2009.[18] However, its release was postponed until 12 February 2010.[19] Response[edit] On June 10, 2009, REACT to FILM screened Food, Inc. at the SoHo House in Manhattan, NY followed by a moderated Q&A with executive producer Eric Schlosser.[30] Awards[edit]
