Citer ses sources et présenter une bibliographie La norme ne donne aucune consigne de mise en forme des références. Cependant, un schéma uniforme de style, de présentation et de ponctuation doit être utilisé pour toutes les références dans un document. Adding intext citations in Word-howtogeek Properly formatting bibliographies has always driven students crazy. With modern versions of Microsoft Word, though, the process is streamlined to the point of almost being automatic, and today we’re going to show you how to add citations and bibliographies to your Word documents. Note: the techniques we’re going to cover here should work for Microsoft Word 2007 and later. Creating Sources and Adding Citations To Your Text When you’re working on any Word document, place your cursor where you want the citation to be placed. The popup menu that appears shows any sources you have already added (we’ll get to that in a moment), but to add a new source, just click the “Add New Source” command. In the Create Source window that appears, you can enter all of the relevant information for just about any source. Note: By default, Word uses APA citation style, but it’s not limited to that. Word adds a citation for your new source to your document. Creating Your Bibliography Bam!

Why Is There a Specific APA Style? APA Style® was established to codify the many components of scientific writing to facilitate clear communication and has enabled psychologists and scholars in other social and behavioral sciences to enhance the dissemination of knowledge in their respective fields. APA Style focuses on the needs and guidelines established in psychology and other social and behavioral sciences and does not cover general rules explained in widely available style books and examples of usage with little relevance to the behavioral and social sciences. Among the most helpful general guides to editorial style are Words into Type (Skillin & Gay, 1974) and the Chicago Manual of Style (University of Chicago Press, 2005). Style manuals agree more often than they disagree. Where they disagree, the Publication Manual, because it is based on the special requirements of psychology, takes precedence for APA publications.

Create a bibliography, citations, and references - Word Put your cursor at the end of the text you want to cite. Go to References > Style, and choose a citation style. Select Insert Citation. Choose Add New Source and fill out the information about your source. Once you've added a source to your list, you can cite it again: Put your cursor at the end of the text you want to cite. With cited sources in your document, you're ready to create a bibliography. Put your cursor where you want the bibliography. Tip: If you cite a new source, add it to the bibliography by clicking anywhere in the bibliography and selecting Update Citations and Bibliography. Why Is APA Style Needed? Uniform style helps us scan articles quickly for key points and findings. Rules of style in scientific writing encourage full disclosure of essential information and allow us to dispense with minor distractions. Style helps us express the key elements of quantitative results, choose the graphic form that will best suit our analyses, report critical details of our research protocol, and describe individuals with accuracy and respect. When we use an editorial style, we remove the distraction of puzzling over the correct punctuation for a reference or the proper form for numbers in text. Those elements are codified in the rules we follow for clear communication, allowing us to focus our intellectual energy on the substance of our research (Foreword, Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 6th ed., p. xiii). An author writing for a publication must follow the rules established by the publisher to avoid inconsistencies among journal articles or book chapters.
