I’m also a mother of two sons aged 11 and 13, who repeatedly ask what happens if schools close their doors. Sanahanat auki monilukutaitoon - Helsingin yliopisto HY+ Sanahanat auki monilukutaitoon -koulutus järjestettiin Opetushallituksen rahoittamana opetushenkilöstön täydennyskoulutuksena neljä kertaa vuosien 2016–2017 aikana. Koulutukseen osallistui niin luokanopettajia, aineenopettajia kuin erityisopettajiakin, jotka toivoivat saavansa koulutuksesta apua ja tukea monilukutaidon opettamiseen. Monilukutaito on yksi vuonna 2016 voimaan tulleen opetussuunnitelman laaja-alaisia osaamisalueita ja aihealueena monelle opettajalle uusi. Koulutus toteutettiin monimuoto-opetuksena niin, että siihen sisältyi aloitus- ja päätöstapaaminen, mutta muuten osallistujat työskentelivät itsenäisesti ja yhdessä kollegoiden kanssa verkossa Moodle-kurssialueella. Osallistujat kokivat erityisesti kouluttajien antaman palautteen ja verkkoympäristössä käydyn keskustelun todella antoisaksi. ”Ajankohtainen, monipuolinen ja käytännönläheinen koulutus, suuri kiitos!” ”Tosi mahtava juttu koulutuksessa oli monipuolisuus ja jatkuva, positiivinen palaute!”

W wielu krajach publikowane są statystyki, które świadczą o tym, że programista to zawód o ciągle rosnącym popycie, strategicznie ważny dla światowych gospodarek – mieć albo nie mieć swoich programistów, to niemal jak mieć albo nie mieć własnego węgla czy ropy (a trend ten – jak się przewiduje – będzie postępował). Kolejny głos w dyskusji wskazuje na rozliczne dodatkowe korzyści dla osoby nabywającej tę kompetencję, albo inaczej – pokazuje, że nauka programowania owocuje nie tylko wzrostem kompetencji tworzenia programów, ale również wzrostem higieny myślenia, która przekłada się na lepsze funkcjonowanie w innych niż programowanie dziedzinach życia. Pojawiają się głosy sceptyków. Na to pytanie nie można niestety, jak często bywa w przypadku pytań ważnych, udzielić pewnej odpowiedzi.
