Food PH Chart - Most Alkaline and Acidic Foods
Balanced body chemistry is of utmost importance for the maintenance of health and correction of disease. Acidosis, or over-acidity in the body tissues, is one of the basic causes of many diseases, especially the arthritic and rheumatic diseases. All foods are "burned" in the body--more commonly called "digested"-- leaving an ash as the result of the "burning", or the digestion. It is, therefore, vitally important that there is a proper ratio between acid and alkaline foods in the diet. A healthy body usually keeps large alkaline reserves which are used to meet the emergency demands if too many acid-producing foods are consumed. For optimum health and maximum resistance to disease, it is imperative that your diet is slightly over-alkaline. Below are tables of common foods with an approximate potential acidity or alkalinity, as present in one ounce of food. Most grains are acid-forming, except millet and buckwheat, which are considered to be alkaline. Additional Charts:

Lesson 18 - Restoring pH Balance in the Body Over acidity, which can become a dangerous condition that weakens all body systems, is very common today. It gives rise to an internal environment conducive to disease, as opposed to a pH balanced environment which allows normal body function necessary for the body to resist disease. A healthy body maintains adequate alkaline reserves to meet emergency demands. When excess acids must be neutralized our alkaline reserves are depleted leaving the body in a weakened condition. A pH balanced diet, according to many experts, is a vital key to health maintenance. Now we depart from health in just the proportion to which we have allowed our alkalies to be dissipated by introduction of acid-forming food in too great amount... More recently, in his remarkable book Alkalize or Die (see recommended reading), Dr. The countless names of illnesses do not really matter. Understanding pH pH (potential of hydrogen) is a measure of the acidity or alkalinity of a solution.

ph-acid-alkaline-food-chart Testing your ph is done with what is called a pH strip. The proper strip to purchase for testing both saliva and urine is one that is a "NARROW " or "SHORT" range pH strip. This means that the calibration on the strip goes from about 4 to 9. A Strip that has a calibration from say 1 to 14 is considered to be a "WIDE" or "LONG" range strip. An acidic pH can occur from, an acid forming diet, emotional stress, toxic overload, and/or immune reactions or any process that deprives the cells of oxygen and other nutrients. The reason acidosis is more common in our society is mostly due to the typical American diet, which is far too high in acid producing animal products like meat, eggs and dairy, and far too low in alkaline producing foods like fresh vegetables. To maintain health, the diet should consist of 60% alkaline forming foods and 40% acid forming foods. Also, generally, acid forming foods include: meat, fish, poultry, eggs, grains, and legumes. Remember, the key here is BALANCE.

How to Restore the Body to an Alkaline pH « Essential Oils… more than basic Aromatherapy An alkaline environment in the body is hostile to fungi (and I might also add, hostile to many types of cancer), which require acidity to survive and thrive. Lowered yeast and fungus (read more about Vaginal Yeast and Fungus at the end of this article) populations translate into lower levels of body-damaging, disease-inducing mycotoxins. Some of the most common varieties of pathogenic bacteria, yeast, and fungi that live in the intestines are inactive. The importance of alkalinity to health is something we all might consider paying more attention to – it alone can mean a better quality of health, or a poor quality of health. What is and how do we create the ideal pH? The ideal pH for human blood is between 7.4 and 7.6. The naturally occurring yeast and fungi in the body thrive in an acidic environment. When yeast and fungus decline in the body, so does their production of mycotoxins, the poisonous waste products and byproducts of their life cycles. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Video of Dr.

Alkaline Diet | Eat Alkaline and Green Food to Balance Body pH! Eat Alkaline Foods to Boost Immune System and Prevent Disease Naturally Consuming the correct balance of acid and alkaline foods will help you maintain optimal health or recover from poor health. And even though you may be consuming an alkaline diet, lifestyle and environment can also affect the acidity of your body. For example, stress and negative emotions produce an acid-forming chemical in the body and breathing toxins also produce an acid pH in the body. See Acid/Alkaline pH List below. Food, or anything consumable, has either an acid or alkaline pH depending on the ash residue remaining after the food is digested and processed. Alkaline Foods and Acid Foods. I heard pH this and pH that for a long time before I REALLY understood how important pH is. I learned through caring for my plants. It took a greater time for me to realize how and why pH is so vital for whole body health. God made a perfect human body. One made of dust. From a reader: In my family, I'm known as the one who researches everything. "And God saw everything He had made, and, behold, it was very good..." pH-inding the Right Balance At the first mention of acidity and alkalinity, eyes glaze over. The Basics Every solution is either acidic or alkaline. Keeping our acidity and alkalinity balanced means regulating the hydrogen ion concentration in our body fluids. The Misconceptions Foods are classified as acid-forming or alkalizing depending on the effect they have on the body. Another misconception is that acid-forming foods are "bad." Common acid-forming foods include processed junk foods and those that are high in animal protein. The Problem Others concur with Airola.

Food pH List - Balancing Acid/Alkaline Foods A surprising number and variety of physical problems and diseases can be caused by the problem of foods that are acid-producing after digestion. Today the vast majority of the populace in industrialized nations suffers from problems caused by the stress of acidosis, because both modern lifestyle and diet promote acidification of the body's internal environment. The current typical Western diet is largely composed of acid-forming foods (proteins, cereals, sugars). Many foods are alkaline-producing or neutral by nature, but manufactured processed foods are mostly acid-producing and these are the ones most heavily advertised in the media, and filling the shelves of supermarkets. It is important to consume at least 60% alkaline-producing foods in our diet, in order to maintain health. What is the body's pH? Human blood pH should be slightly alkaline (7.35 - 7.45). Health problems caused by acidosis Saliva pH Test: Simply wet a piece of Litmus Paper with your saliva. Help with Healthy Eating

Food pH - pH of Alkaline Foods The relative alkalinity or acidity of food is measured by the pH value of the ash residue that remains after the food has been metabolised by our body. This ash can be acid, alkaline or neutral depending largely upon the mineral content of the food. As a basic rule - potassium, calcium, magnesium, zinc, silver, sodium and iron leave an alkaline residue while sulphur, chlorine, phosphorous and iodine create an acid environment. The foods that are either alkalising or acidifying are very easy to categorise. The common sense 'bad' foods (sugar, refined foods, foods high in saturated fat and trans fats, meat, dairy, yeast, fizzy drinks, crisps, chocolate, alcohol etc) all leave an acid ash. Conversely, the common sense 'good foods' (salads, vegetables etc) are alkalising. The confusing food for many people is fruit.

7 most alkaline foods Top six alkaline foods to eat every day for vibrant health Share by Angela Doss The typical American diet is a deadly one, consisting primarily of toxic and acid-forming foods like processed sugars, artificial sweeteners, refined grains, conventionally produced meats and dairy, and hidden genetically modified organisms. All this, combined with a plethora of other challenging environmental factors (such as lack of rest, psychological stress, and pharmaceutical drugs), mean it’s no wonder that more and more people are being diagnosed with chronic, degenerative illnesses or otherwise deadly conditions for which modern conventional medicine claims to have no known cure. One of the basic underlying problems with this unsustainable lifestyle – and there are many – is the average consumer’s lack of understanding that the body must balance the blood’s pH levels at a slightly alkaline level of 7.365 in order to survive. Of course, the ultimate goal is balance. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Lemons may be the most alkalizing food of all. Source: Natural News

The Cayce Cold Cure: A cold cannot exist in Alkaline! Are you always justgetting over a cold,or catching a new one? Edgar Cayce’s cold curecan end the misery, and help build yourlong-term natural health! It varies -- that’s why it’s good to know your personal “storm signals,” an important part of self-health. I started out cold-prone. I remember getting up at 3:00 am, when it was dark and miserable outside, and going to work absolutely exhausted. We’d tried to keep the Cayce diet for years, with its stress on the right acid-alkaline balance. Still, Cayce had said more than once that a person didn’t need to get a cold at all. Here’s what he said to do. Baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) – This was the backbone of the Cayce cold cure, because it is one of the basic elements of the body, and strongly alkaline. Alkaline Rich Foods: Photos of ONE Serve of Alkaline-Rich Foods Ever since I released my Definitive List of Alkaline Foods and then followed this up with my now, officially, ‘wildly popular’ 7 Most Alkaline Rich Foods guide I’ve been inundated with questions from you lovely people asking me more questions about how to start the alkaline diet, and how to live alkaline. This is brilliant. It’s why I’m here. As I discussed in my review/breakdown of the excellent ‘Hungry for Change’ movie that was released last week, my whole approach to getting healthy, getting alkaline and STAYING alkaline is based around three key things: DON’T try to be perfect – it’s unrealistic, unreasonable and doomed for failure. We all know we have to eat more fresh vegetables (especially the leafy ones) but it seems daunting and intimidating to try and eat (at least) five serves per day. I have used the globally accepted measure of 80g of food as being officially ONE serve and measured out what 80g of each of my 7 Most Alkaline Rich Foods looks like. 1. The Exception… 1. 2. 3.
