Assistive Technology from Ancient to Modern Times Technology has improved our lives so much in recent years, especially in this digital age, but some of the assistive technologies we have today were developed on the foundations of ancient society. From creating the first prosthesis, to inventing an entire reading language for the blind, to the once sci-fi concept of an exoskeleton, some of the best technologies we’ve invented was done to help our fellow human live in ways many others take for granted. We’ve created this enlightening timeline on the history of Assistive Technology, from ancient Egypt to the modern day, to show just how important many of mankind’s inventions have been.
