Frontman Matt Healy showed off a wild mop of hair at the show, which has already drawn comparisons to Simpsons villain Sideshow Bob. Dream Pop Music | Synthpop Music Pop/R&B star The Weeknd performed his new songs "Starboy" And "False Alarm" on the SNL season premier earlier this week. The vocalist does "Starboy" flawlessly while he gives "False Alarm" a shot in the arm, raising the intensity compared to the slow burn studio track. The stunning Margot Robbie hosted SNL for the premier and introduces both of the live takes. Daft Punk lends production skills to The Weeknds "Starboy" The production on the former song was handled by iconic electronic group Daft Punk alongside Canadian record producers Cirkut and Doc McKinney. It's the lead single from his upcoming album Starboy, which is due out on November 25. Deadmau5 and Skrillex go way back, as the former released the latter's debut EP Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites on his mau5trap label. This history only goes so far however, as Skrillex explained to Complex: "The only time I really got upset [with deadmau5] was when he started taking stabs at Marshmello, acting like such a f**king bully." "Marshmello is this young kid who looks up to deadmau5, and the first tweet he gets from deadmau5 is talking s**t about him. The LP mixes underground synthpop/electronic influences like Lights and PVRIS with big pop sounds in the realm of Rihanna. Sit Still, Look Pretty is a 14-track album, but sadly six of those tracks are cut straight from her debut EP Daya. "Dare" opens Sit Still, Look Pretty with a bang Luckily, there's some bangers among the new songs. Deep cut "Got the Feeling" has a synth bass line with a whole lot of feeling. Catchy songs abound but where is the real Daya? If there's any criticism that can be levelled at Sit Still, Look Pretty, it's that at times it feels like we aren't really getting to know the real Daya.
