Windows 10 update could make your PC slower – here's how to fix it In 2018, Microsoft rebuilt its Internet Explorer successor ‘Edge’ to use the same foundations as Google Chrome. The Chromium-based Edge was finally released in January as a manual download on Windows 10, 7, 8.1, and macOS.
