Climate Change Conference Paris 2015 Paris needs to result in a negotiated agreement that will provide a legal framework for moving forward. In addition, a Paris outcome will also include the national climate plans (Intended Nationally Determined Contributions or INDCs) that countries have voluntarily put forward that will form the baseline for reducing emissions and strengthening resilience. Paris will also need to include a credible finance package. Many developing countries will need international cooperation, including finance and technology, to help them move toward a low-carbon future. As part of this package, developed countries will need to detail how they will fulfill their previous pledge of mobilizing $100 billion per year by 2020 to support developing countries. And financing for the post 2020 period will also need to be addressed.

Facebook Login and Secure module integration in Play Framework Play has a really neat module, called Secure, to ease the authentication mechanics in a web application. Unfortunately, nowadays none of us would really be willing to fill yet another registration form, that is where Facebook Login (and similars) comes into play. The problem is, Facebook Login is not something trivial, and integrating it into Secure poses another challange. In this post, I will try to walk you through a Play web application with Secure module enabled and wrapped around Facebook Login. We will use OAuth2 provided by Play to get an access token from Facebook, and later issue queries using RestFB.

Video on the Web You are here: Home Dive Into HTML5 Diving In Anyone who has visited YouTube.com in the past four years knows that you can embed video in a web page. Climate Change and Heritage - US/ICOMOS Membership Rising sea levels, the increasing frequency and intensity of storms, desertification and other intensifying impacts pose both obvious and unprecedented challenges to the cultural and natural heritage of humankind. Cultural heritage also promises to be an important part of the solution to climate change, including the science of learning from cultural heritage/archaeology about climate variability and human adaptation to it through time. Historic preservation necessarily involves the conservation of existing resources (both tangible and intangible) and their adaptive reuse and recycling for the future. As concerns mount about climate change, environmental degradation and the unsustainable consumption of irreplaceable natural resources, preservation’s essential paradigm of sustainable stewardship in a context of growth and progress is increasingly important.
