GordonandtheWhale.com Probably the least known site on this list, I met these guys at SXSW this passed year and instantly fell in love with their site and enthusiasm for movies. 09. Even though these guys are from Canada we wont hold it against them! 08. A fellow Dad movie blogger like myself, Vic runs one great movie site. 07. Although I dont frequent Coming Soon all that often it is still a great resource for news and exclusive stories. 06. Collider is the place you want to be for set visits, breaking news, and hardcore reporting! 05. Quote On Neglect
People do what people actually want to do. This simple statement holds itself to be true in 99% of peoples lives. If a person really wants to do a certain thing, and they have their heart set on it, then more than likely they will accomplish it. This especially holds true in a lot of relationships you may encounter, if you haven't already encountered it. When someone doesn't show up when they say they will, always cancels plans, or just doesn't come around even though they have ample opportunity to, chances are they really don't want to be a part of your life. Realizing and accepting this may be a very hard pill to swallow, but is essential for ones happiness.
What Does Love Mean?
When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn’t bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman’s yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.
One man, 100,000 toothpicks, and 35 years: An incredible kinetic sculpture...
Thirty five years ago I had yet to be born, but artist Scott Weaver had already begun work on this insanely complex kinetic sculpture, Rolling through the Bay, that he continues to modify and expand even today. The elaborate sculpture is comprised of multiple “tours” that move pingpong balls through neighborhoods, historical locations, and iconic symbols of San Francisco, all recreated with a little glue, some toothpicks, and an incredible amount of ingenuity. He admits in the video that there are several toothpick sculptures even larger than his, but none has the unique kinetic components he’s constructed. Via his website Weaver estimates he’s spent over 3,000 hours on the project, and the toothpicks have been sourced from around the world: I have used different brands of toothpicks depending on what I am building. I also have many friends and family members that collect toothpicks in their travels for me. See the sculpture for yourself at the Tinkering Studio through the end of June.

Love styles are modi operandi of how people love, originally developed by John Lee (1973,[1] 1988[2]). He identified six basic love styles—also known as "colours" of love—that people use in their interpersonal relationships: Clyde Hendrick and Susan Hendrick of Texas Tech University expanded on this theory in the mid-1980s with their extensive research on what they called "love styles". They have found that men tend to be more ludic, whereas women tend to be storgic and pragmatic. Mania is often the first love style teenagers display. In a genetic study of 350 lovers, the Eros style was found to be present more often in those bearing the TaqI A1 allele of the DRD2 3' UTR sequence and the overlapping ANKK1 exon 8. A few weeks ago a school teacher was killed in an auto accident. She was very well liked, so the school systems shut down for her funeral and it was on the news, etc. On the day her co-workers returned to work, they found this poem in their e-mail that the deceased woman had sent on the Friday before she left for home. If tomorrow starts without me and I'm not there to see, If the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled with tears for me; I wish so much you wouldn't cry the way you did today, while thinking of the many things, we didn't get to say. I know how much you love me, as much as I love you! But when tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand that an angel came and called my name and took me by the hand; she said my place was ready, in heaven far above and that I'd have to leave behind all those I dearly love. I thought of all the yesterdays, the good ones and the bad; I thought of all the love we shared and all the fun we had. "Happiness is a Choice."
