POV.HD camera review It's time for another new entrant into the increasingly crowded pov camera fray, a high-end selection for current or budding professionals -- or well-heeled amateurs. It's the POV.HD from V.I.O. and, if you hadn't guessed, it shoots footage in high definition. Properly high as it were, up to 1080p30, though it'll happily make stops at 720p30, 720p60, and even a tasty 1080p24 along the way. A $599.95 MSRP makes it a bit of a tough sell for casual action sports enthusiasts, but is this what you semi-pro snowboarders need to catch your next big pow adventures? Read on to find out. It's powered by four whole AA batteries that fit in there too, hiding behind a somewhat clumsy to remove door on the back. Only One Man Can Explain the Zelda Timeline The only thing that ever made sense for James Bond was that the name is just a title, and top spies take the role as others die or retire. I remember hearing that the books implied this, but I don't know if it's supposed to be canon in either the books or the movies. Some games clearly take place after other ones. It's been explicitly stated by Miyamoto and Aonuma that there is a timeline, and with evidence in almost all of the games to back that up, I don't see why we should think otherwise. Obviously some games take place before and after others— and with those, it actually makes sense. Hence the split timeline, which Nintendo has confirmed. Both Twilight Princess and The Wind Waker very obviously follow Ocarina of Time, and there are even geographical references to that game. The only huge gap I see in the entire series is Zelda II, in which it was stated that an earlier Zelda was put to sleep generations ago.

Father and Son Launch iPhone Into Outer Space This breathtaking video documents Brooklyn-based cinematographer Luke Geissbuhler's quest with his son to launch an iPhone 4 and an HD video camera into space using a weather balloon. The mission was a success, and the footage is absolutely gorgeous. Geussbuhler launched the balloon from Newburgh, New York, and it climbed at a rate of 25 feet per second to 19 miles above the surface of the earth just an hour later. Video: NYC Band Replaces Stolen Instruments With iPhones :: App Advice I used to manage an indie rock band back in the day, and having our instruments break down or even stolen was definitely a huge concern. With technological progress, and especially the iDevice revolution, it seems like this is not much of a big deal anymore. Indeed, after a New York City band, Atomic Tom, (spotted by 9to5mac) had their instruments stolen, the band realized they could just as well replace them with iPhones. They gave the idea a try on the subway, and you must admit the result is actually quite amazing. See for yourself: Seeing how skilled they are, I have a feeling they’ve been experimenting with this for a little while.

Oblivion Is Made Better when Burger King Punches Men with a Fish Pft. No matter how much you mod the base game (that's the thing about Morrowind, the base game is actually decently fun and mods are just gravy, Oblivion's isn't and mods work to fix critical blatant issues before you can add anything), as you can't really fix the following 1: The world design. Flat, featureless and straight liney. 2: The voice acting 3: The unintresting quests 4: The copypasta dungeons. 5: Lack of unique stuff (due to 4) that means exploration is pointless even if you fix the level scaling. 6: Complete and utter lack of stability. Nehrim with Deadly Reflex and Oblivion Crash Prevention System is MUCH more enjoyable than any amount of mods attached to normal Oblivion. 1: Good world design. 2: The voice acting is all in German (so non-speakers will never notice any repetion), and half the things that wound up being repetitive just don't exist. 3: OK, the quests aren't the best, but they are by far better than Oblivion's "follow compass, kill things, loot" quests.
