One-pan dark chocolate chunk skillet cookie

One-pan dark chocolate chunk skillet cookie
For some reason, I was craving this on Saturday. Nothing else would do. All I wanted was a warm, gooey, chocolate chip cookie, straight out of an iron skillet. With just a little ice cream. I flipped through a cookbook or two, and discovered you could make chocolate chip cookies with melted butter. One recipe (from The Weekend Baker by Abigail Dodge) even had you mix the entire dough in the saucepan where you melted the butter, and then scoop out the cookies from there. As this was a lazy Saturday, and my intent was only to satisfy my craving (not a den of Cub Scouts’ or a mob of preschoolers’), I exercised no financial caution and dumped an entire cup of chopped Valrhona chocolate into the mix. To make this, since it is such a simple recipe, use the very best ingredients you can. And then run a 5k. Now I know that most of you don’t have an enormous bar of Valrhona chocolate lying around. I know. To order the same Lodge Logic Skillet that I used, you can find it right here on amazon. 1.

Make Your Own Girl Scout Cookies Make Your Own Girl Scout Cookies, Sans The Artificial Ingredients Whether you want to avoid some of the highly-processed ingredients (like trans fats and palm oil) or you just can’t wait for the annual cookie sale, we’ve got some simple ways to make healthier versions of these classic treats. Why Make Your Own Though Girl Scout cookies boxes say “trans-fat free,” the term is officially defined by the FDA as a food that contains less than 0.5 grams of trans fat per serving, meaning some varieties — including uber-popular Thin Mints, Samoas and Tagalongs — still contain trace amounts of the fat.

Mustard-Crusted Turkey: Virtual Progressive Thanksgiving Dinner We are talking turkey today of the mustard-crusted variety. With the Thanksgiving focus being all about community and connecting with friends and family, it makes sense that here on Food for My Family I celebrate that same community here in the online world. Today is the start of the Virtual Progressive Thanksgiving Dinner. We’re starting with turkey and stuffing, and we’ll make our way through apples and cranberries from Eat at Home, carrots and mashed potatoes from Real Mom Kitchen, cranberry salad from Unsophisticook and pumpkin gingerbread trifle over at Hoosier Homemade, who was wonderful enough to set up this dinner.First, you should know that I don’t stuff my birds. Once my turkey is ready, it’s time to spread it on.

Cheeky Kitchen » Slow Cooker Gooey Chocolate Cake I’m meeting a new friend for lunch today. And an old friend for line-dancing tonight. And I’m feeling rather spoiled about it all. I mean, moms shouldn’t have TWO social events on the calendar for the same day, should we?

The Infamous Jacques Torres Chocolate Chip Cookies Now, I have a chocolate chip cookie recipe that I swear by. I love it, I think it is incredible, and I haven’t changed my mind about that. However, as much as it pains me to say it, these chocolate chip cookies by Jacques Torres are absolutely, without a doubt, the best chocolate chip cookies that I have ever made or tasted in my entire life. I guess that’s why they call him Mr.

The Brownie That Will Change Your Life Let me start off by saying that viewer discretion is advised for today’s post. OK now with the story that preludes possibly the greatest brownie I have ever sunk my teeth in thus far in my life. Last Saturday Mrs. Top 10 Young Killers Crime A number of child killings have been recorded throughout the years. These often have involved disturbing acts one can hardly imagine a child suffering through. These cases are becoming more controversial as the number of child killings increases every year. However, what happens if that innocent and vulnerable-looking child is the one responsible for the abduction and murders in your neighborhood? Would you believe the accusations made of someone so young?

Twice Baked Potato Casserole February 6th, 2009 by katie I have always loved the combination of flavors in the classic baked potato. I don’t get to experiment with potatoes often because mrChaos ate them too often as a kid and so thinks he doesn’t like them a whole lot as an adult. Twice baked potatoes, if you don’t know, are baked potatoes that are scooped out and mixed in a bowl with all the delicious topping you would add to your baked potato: cheese, butter, sour cream, bacon, green onion.
