Commons Management & Governance – Short Courses This is a new series of online short courses, launched in 2015, focusing on different aspects of commons: their management, governance and sustainability. The courses will be delivered jointly by the Countryside and Community Research Institute of the University of Gloucestershire (UK) and the Instituto de Investigaciones Sociales, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (IIS-UNAM), in both English and Spanish, under the auspices of the International Association for the Study of the Commons (IASC). (n.b. Sep-Nov 2015 ‘Defending the Commons’ in English only) By ‘commons’ we mean resources that are shared in some way by different individuals, communities, or groups, and can be present at local, regional or global scales. Courses in the series Registered students will be given an Associate Student number and be able to access the course materials via the internet.There are no special IT requirements in order to be able to access the materials. Herramientas Económicas para la Conservación en la Amazonía Andina, con énfasis en Pagos por Servicios Ambientales (PSA) - Colombia 2013 | Conservation Strategy Fund El curso Herramientas Económicas para la Conservación en la Amazonía Andina, con énfasis en Pagos por Servicios Ambientales - PSA tiene por objetivo enseñar y promover el análisis objetivo y estratégico que integre la conservación y el manejo de recursos naturales con las actividades económicas. El curso está dirigido a profesionales trabajando en temas de conservación y desarrollo en los países andino amazónicos: Colombia, Ecuador, Perú y Bolivia. El curso es ofrecido por Conservación Estratégica - CSF y la Unidad de Apoyo de ICAA en el marco de la Iniciativa para la Conservación en la Amazonía Andina – ICAA , un programa regional de la Agencia de los Estados Unidos para el Desarrollo Internacional - USAID. Se abordarán principios y técnicas para analizar de manera integral los aspectos económicos y ambientales de conservación en proyectos e iniciativas de desarrollo. Durante las dos semanas los participantes deberán permanecer de manera continua en el lugar del curso.
