Image Editing Tutorials
Image Editing Tutorial You might have noticed that under certain conditions, the image acquired with your DSLR has far too much information, thus creating noise and digital artifacts that mar your photo. This is particularly an issue when you're shooting at night and/or with a high ISO in other low-light conditions... it's the downside of attempting to capture an image when the exposure latitude (the difference between the lightest and darkest section) is wide. So Photoshop has the ability, when properly applied, to eliminate a tremendous amount of that noise. Here are a few methods to do it.

How to Apply a Tilt-Shift Effect to Your Photos in Photoshop | designerbooster In this tutorial, I`m going to show you how to apply a very nice tilt-shift effect to your photos. The result will give you the impression that the picture is just a miniature-scale model. This effect is very easily to achieve in Photoshop following just a few steps and combined with some simple image adjustments will deliver a high-quality miniature-faking outcome. Tilt-Shift photo effect can be achieved straight from your camera while taking photos, using tilt-shift lens, which simulates a shallow depth of field. But if you don`t have the tilt-shift lens yet, don`t worry because you can create this effect using digital tools like the very popular Photoshop. Many people use the term of “Tilt-Shift” when referring to this type of effect, but more accurate is to use the term called “Miniature faking”. Miniature faking is a process in which a photograph of a life-size location or object is made to look like a photograph of a miniature scale model. It`s time to blur the photo now.

Color and Light Matching for Composites in Photoshop - PhotoshopCAFE by Frank Bramkamp intro Photo composites are a great way to express your creativity and vision as an artist. You can craft images that otherwise cannot be accomplished. Many people shoot landscapes or architecture, which make fantastic backgrounds of a scene. Since the model has typically been shot in a different environment than you used to photograph your background, one of the occurring problems is to match the color and light, which is essential to make the final composite believable. In the following, we will place a model into a landscape scenery. The final photo composite The first step is to cut out the model from the original photo and to place her into the new background. Original photo of the model, placed into the new background In the next step we considerably darken the model using curves. Darken the subject using curves For the landscape, I applied a texture to give a painterly feeling. I kept some of its color to obtain a stained look. Apply texture to the model Oops.
