Starter's sIBL-Collection Gobz___Ailis I went in Hokkaido in Japan three weeks ago, I loooooooooooved it, it such a wonderful place! It’s wilder than in tokyo, and people are generally more open . Food is amazing , especially seafood (they eat everything, from seaweed to urchins, sea-spiders, crabs, jellyfishes, scallops, shrimps…it is quite strange , because we are not used to eat something that fresh ).
Vermibus Over-consumption and the unchecked use of our natural resources to serve that consumption, is wreaking havoc on our environment and on our minds. Our unabated need for the latest products and ideas leaves us only wanting more, at the expense of the world around us. Fueling this unchecked desire is a commercial media whose goal is the promotion of more consumption through every outlet known. Newspapers, Magazines, Television, the Internet, and even the Public Space that we collectively share, all serve to promote our desire for more. In an effort to examine the issue of over-consumption, “Buy Nothing Day” began in 1992 by artist Ted Dave, and participants were asked to refrain from purchasing goods for 24hrs. 22 years later this single act of defiance has grown into a worldwide movement that now takes place in 65 countries and includes thousands of participants. All fotages were sent by the activists.

Choi Xoo Ang is an emerging mixed media artist based out of Seoul, South Korea who creates figurative sculptures out of clay and resin that examines human rights, society’s pathological state, and sex and gender politics among other themes. The distorcion of the reality is something amazing in his work where you can feel a little of the real in the whole fantasy. Without boundries he creates pieces that you can’t be indifferent or even shoked. He has been awarded by several prizes being one of them the Artists of Tomorrow 2010, Sungkok Museum Award, Seoul, Korea.

Chromosphere was approached by Academy Award-winning director John Kahrs and Lyft to provide complete design and animation services for this project. We worked directly with John from the earliest concept designs through to the final frames, making sure that everything we did enhanced the story that he wanted to tell. In the beginning we see only a small slice of the world around June in Chicago’s southside, but by the end we are taken on a whirlwind journey through all of Chicago’s diverse and colorful neighborhoods.
