Vitaly Friedman's Notebook: 25 Best Free Quality Fonts 25 Best Free Quality Fonts » Oct 15, 01:00 AM Recently I’ve been browsing through the Net searching for the best license-free fonts which would fit as a serious heading for a serious online-presentation. Fortunately, I wasn’t the first web-developer, who was trying to find such fonts. One of the best resources I’ve found was Gerrit van Aaken’s essays collection “Freie Schriften im Portrait” (free fonts in a portrait) in German language. Before reading this article any further I strongly suggest you to visit Gerrit’s site and add it to bookmarks, for it is regularly updated and contains great links and a great fonts library. So I’ve decided to create the Top 20 Best Free Quality Fonts, which are likely to be used rather for official, serious presentations (such as business sites) than a colourful teenager’s homepage. If you have any comments or suggestions, please let me know (or just comment on this article). Update: Delicious and Fontin. Update (04.03.2005): NeueSans was added. 0.3. 0.4.

CSS Remix | A Fresh Blend of the Best-Designed Web 2.0 Sites extras // hicksdesign With iOS there are more different size icons to create than for OSX apps. While there are plenty of templates and reference sheets for Photoshop users (see Cocoia) I prefer to use Illustrator to create mine. So I’ve made my own template, and it’s available here if you find it useful too! It’s best to create the artwork with 90° corners and let the OS round them off, but there is a mask layer to help you check how it would look. Exporting The icons are all set out on their own artboard, so when you’re ready to export check the ‘Use Artboards’ option to get each icon as an individual file: Disclaimer While I’ve worked hard to make sure this template is as accurate as possible, I can’t guarantee it’s completely error-free. If you’re using CS4 or below, this template may well work for you, but hasn’t been tested and may explode leaving terrible stains.

7 Principles Of Clean And Optimized CSS Code | CSS Advertisement Some of you may remember the days when 30KB was the recommended maximum size of a web page, a value which included HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash, and images. I find with every new project with even the slightest bit of complexity, it’s not long before that 30 KB ideal is well out of my reach. With the popularity of CSS layouts and JavaScript-enriched web page experiences, it’s not uncommon, particularly for large sites, for the CSS files alone to jump well beyond that 30KB ceiling. But there are some principles to consider during and after you write your CSS to help keep it tight and optimized. 1. If you’re not already writing in shorthand, you’re late to the party. Margin, border, padding, background, font, list-style, and even outline are all properties that allow shorthand (and that’s not even an extensive list!). CSS Shorthand means that instead of using different declarations for related properties… … you may use shorthand properties to combine those values like so: 2. 3.

A.M. I. II. III. Conclusion Enfin, ce mémoire sera clôturé par une hypothèse sur l’évolution possible de la typographie colorée et l’apprentissage tiré de l’ensemble de ces recherches.
