The Best in Bird Photography: 50 Crystal Clear Bird Shots
Bird photography is among the most popular types of nature photography. This is no surprise, considering the fact that they live all over the globe, they can be very colorful and come in different shapes and sizes. Immortalizing birds in photos can be quite challenging – specialized skills and equipment are required – but the outcome is definitely worth it all the effort and investment. Switzerland Switzerland In June 2011, we spent a week in Switzerland, flying into Geneva, with an initial stop in Montreux, followed by a picturesque stay in Wengen, located above the Lauterbrunnen valley. The alps provided a stunning backdrop to explore the area. During our stay in Wengen, a small village that is accessible by train or foot, the main sound heard was cow bells. We took day trips and hikes in the Interlaken area of central Switzerland. The village of Wengen where we stayed in an alpine chalet/hotel, above the Lauterbrunnen valley. These are by no means the ‘best’ skylines, just a collection of incredible photographs taken by some amazing photographers around the world. I tried not to duplicate too many of the cities covered in the first skyline post, so places like Chicago, Hong Kong and Shanghai were omitted. 2. Photograph by XREBELXDIAMONDSX 3. Mt Roraima, Brasil, Guyana and Venezuela (pic) A Father Who Creatively Captures His Kids (20 photos) If there was a prize that could be given out to the most creative father, I'd hope that it was awarded to Jason Lee. A wedding photographer by day, he's used to capturing some of the most important moments in a couple's lives. As a longtime fan of Jason's photos on Flickr however, I think the real magic happens when he turns the camera onto his daughters. Sure, his children are adorably cute in their own right, but that's not what makes his photos so interesting. It's when he puts his own spin on their everyday moments that we not only get to experience our own childhood again, we're able to see a father's pride shine through. I was able to get in touch with Jason to ask him a few questions. Q: How did you get into photography? Q: How do you come up with such creative photos of your daughters? Q: How has being on Flickr helped you with your business? Q: Any inspirational stories you'd like to share? Q: Do you have any advice for aspiring photographers? Q: Any quotes you live by?
